Ok, 1st off, you should maybe look at the tape measure a little closer, cause you’re not reading it accurately. Biggest issue is that you said you’ve been selling tires for YEARS and just recently learned how they are measured/sized? How many folks did you bullshit/lie to while selling them the wrong tires/parts? Not only does that make folks distrustful of auto shops, more importantly, people can get hurt or even die from shit like that.
He may have messed up a few times while talking numbers but as he is saying majority of tires don’t run true to size, do your own research and if you can pre measure. No one’s dying from an .5” undersized 35” tire there bud.
Honestly Eric, its refreshing to see RU-vid content coming from a SoCal guy. Many great content on the Tube but if you keep your stuff relative to some SoCal specifics, at least some, it would add to your uniqueness, maybe even stand out and grow a following. I found this tire conundrum frustrating as well. Best I found for fit on my 20" wheels was a 34" actual Cooper tire height, sold as a 33" tire for my wanna be rock crawler GMC truck and a self done clean NorCal mod. I think that considering what you just confirmed for us on this video, targeting the next height/size up to get the actual weighted diameter we want might be the way to go. Thanks for the info man!
