Also mate, please don't rush it so much :( So many things that could've gone better if you just took it a bit slower. There was no need at all to make poor Misha sleep on the concrete. You could've also gotten some food back home if you didn't rush past the freezer. AND you could've left the lock picks for the lock you hovered over - salvaging a slot for something else. Those are not critical mistakes but they do pile up. You'll need things to be as optimal as possible to beat those skulled challenges ;) Good luck!
your decisions confuse me, just at the start you had problems concernig housing and you still didnt adress them you are never reaserching never passing laws Bdw u need guards for crime the crime in the city gets bigger as the population does
Zlata was always my favorite character in This War Of Mine. She offers a lot when she is with someone but also useles when she is alone I like the concept of her.
Hey Andy, really love your videos on This War of mine! And the cam is an awesome addition... I always was to "afraid" to really play this game... with it's very sad and depressing content... Started a playtrough recently, while learning so much from your tactics... Also, I'm realy courious if you'll be able to beat the mod scenario "protecting the child"... it looks very dire... it's really on knifes edge atm... I believe there will be a future third round... Hopfully you can still pull it off!! Keep up the awesome work!!

I've always wanted to try a custom solo start but I end up having everything stolen by raiders. What are your settings and how do you handle raids when you're out scavenging?
like right now I bought the game and I was preaty ok on capiten difficulty (after 5 tries) I lost again and I don't want to change the difficulty but it is your choice
Man had to exit out of my game when in the middle robbing them. Couldn't do it. They were scared. As someone who worked in a Nursing Home it's heartbreaking. I would rather go to military posts. My custom maps dont include this house

Do chores like rain water and trade when the trader shows up. Guard duty and great for Sniper Junction We had so many supplies. The last 5 days of 40 I just had everyone stay home and eat and sleep

@@ahrtrixmeister I am not sure, that's why I didn't add it there, but if I remember correctly if you kill the trader, he counts as civilian so it would gives bad karma, but again I am not sure. Not much people talking about the karma mechanics on this game, but you can always search the TWOM wiki
I found a cheeky little trick in the game. Go to the military base and bring 1 lock pick. Run straight up the trade guard and click on his trading option and exit the menu without trading anything, then wait for his partner to walk in and they will both leave to discuss business in the back. During that time, I want you to walk up the ladders carefully without a sound, then wait until they resume their post. The trading guard will walk to the front of the ladder while the patrol guard will either walk into the building or linger around. You will need to wait for him to enter the building. During that time, jump down from the ledge near the sandbags and quickly enter the room below you with a locker and pick the lock with your lock pick and you can steal the loot. Now quickly enter the building inside and hide inside the corridor before that patrol guard walks around and finds you. You need to wait until that guard walks past by you and exits the building to talk to the trading guard. There is a pile of boxes under the staircase that will always respawn tons of loot every 7 days you return to the military base. The loot consists of 4-12 canned foods, 20-100 bullets, rifles, assault rifles, pistols, 5-20 weapon parts, 4-12 morsel of meat, 2-6 bandages, 2-6 medicine, 2-6 herbal medicine. Once you decide what loot you want, you can run straight out the exit you came from. Both guards will not shoot you. Instead, they will warn you not to do that again. In which you can wait 7 days and return and repeat the cycle. “Note if you are caught once and told to leave the premises, they will become hostile and you will never be able to enter the military base to loot them. This is the best method in looting the military without killing anyone and getting injured yourself. “Minor note” There is a single guard on the bigger military base where you try to loot that huge cache of boxes under the stair that I mention early. That guard is purely hostile and will not warn you. So be careful if he shoots, then all the guards will become hostile. You won’t have to leave your house for a while with this amount of loot. You can trade off all the excess weapons and medicine for components and wood.
Oh my god. This game is my favorite game as a child. I once pirated the game because I couldn't afford to buy it on mobile. Now I own it on steam and on my new phone. Paid and purchased.
i mean.... the ranged weapons are only useful in Defending the base (and going full rambo on the last 4? soldiers in military outpost). you will never go full rambo on any mf, Shovel suprememcy
Best of luck with this! I've been playing through the mod as well and it's definitely challenging. I've finished the 'protect the child' challenge after a couple of tries. My strategy was to always keep Iskra well fed (when possible) to keep her mood up even through the nightly raids. I might be wrong but it seemed to me that her mood affected the other survivors a lot so I ended up prioritising that a fair bit. Also because Christo recovers his tiredness very quickly, I think I always had him recover during the day and was then still able to craft most things in time later in the day. Looking forward to seeing what your strat will be! The most difficult challenge I've had so far in the mod is the 'tight bond' play through with Katia and Roman. I struggled so badly with it because of how much their moods affect the other. I'd be curious to see how you'd approach it if you decide to give it a go later down the line. Also I think the face-cam is great!
BTW, you're doing just great at streaming. You consistently talk about what's happening even with little viewers. I struggled starting up. I don't really stream anymore, when I get too focused on a game I tend to get quiet and/or forget to interact with people that join.
Been coming across your videos the last few days and started watching this challenge. I don't know if you've ever done this in the past, as I'm really just tuning in, have you ever practiced scavenging everything and piling it all out in the front of the building so when you come back everything is all in one pile instead of spread out across the building. I'd be up to this challenge methinks. My struggle with the original CHristo/Ishkra is I can never seem to get thru it without the child being traumatized. My last playthru I taught her how to do a lot but allowed her to pretty much play all the time she didn't have to do much as far as adulting. I think the major thing with keeping her happy is actually keeping Christo home to sleep with her so she doesn't sleep alone at night. I ended up with Roman as my 1st flat mate. SO I would use Christo to scavenge and guard with roman. Though I never had successful raids against my shelter, Ishkra was still scared and missed Christo while he was gone.
I've struggled with keeping Iskra ok as well - the most success I've had is with keeping her always well fed and always having Christo guarding (at least before getting the alarmed door) as he's a very effective guard. I found that as long as she's well fed and has Christo home, she can deal with nightly raids and seldom becomes sad.
Can't play solo roman in mobile version sadly, unless Ofcourse i kills katia or bruno and arica, but thankfully i can just watch this gameplay instead, so i don't need to kill them lol.
I always feed someone ever 2nd day, that means first 2 ladys get some food, next day 2 mens get food and so on.. (I'm always max on hungry1 and hungry 2 not more) and I always send the same person for rooting and always the same person for defend at base.
Have in mind that early barricades are crucial for this challenge. That's why you are given free stacks of wood. Try to make note which materials you need for that and focus on those on the first night. Also, you really need a shovel. It's a melee weapon (helps with raids), and it can save you from the down spiral of wounds.
I just fumbled a warehouse wipeout and ruined my run after breezing through it many times in previous playthroughs and now youtube recommends me this, really rubbing it in 😆
