Hi my w212 wagon e250cdi 2011 open air matic not.every time somtime 1 week somtime 4 day sommetime when i drive writing failure i didnt understand what si real problem plz tzl me man .thank from istanbul
That's really a pain to reassemble these shoes into place if you do not follow some steps before as you mentioned in the part 4. I noticed that for this right hand side reinstallation the spring near the adjusting drum-crown assy is not in the correct position. This spring must be placed beyond the shoes (their inner part, between the shoes and the dust plate). The stronger spring is correctly installed thou and the adjusting assy (drum & crown) too. Thanks for this series of videos. I have got a W210 model and it's exactly the same system.
complimenti! professionale illustrazione.
Hi R u saying that to replace both air bags, you put car on axle stands remove old bags and then compress new bag and install without removing and suspension parts . Did you have any difficulty replacing your.
i have a w210 e230 and when i press the clutch it will not go into gear unless the engine is very warm and hot. I noticed that when I increase the number of revolutions by pressing the gas pedal with the clutch depressed, it drops into gear easily. What would the problem indicate?
My main airline to the compressor keeps popping out when I try to do a level calibration. I just replaced the level sensors . I was wondering if I need to buy a new fitting for the back of the compressor
thank you for showing this, I was wondering how to make the pin stay in my timing chain after I pushed it in. You might have saved the engine from destruction.
Outstanding! Great diagnostic approach. Possibly too time consuming for the repair shop, but great for the confident and creative DIY. I really appreciate the break-down of the pin connections and valve operation. I am surprised that the pin 1-3 combination opens both valves. I would have expected one pin to each solenoid and a common ground on pin 2. I really like the approach to test each air spring. Oddly, it did not occur to me until I saw this video that they could be tested without removal. It would be interesting to see what the valve block looks like inside.
Thanks for the video. I have a W212 but mine is sedan with four bags. During cold days the car looses air at night and in the morning is flat. It takes a while to go up of course. I have replaced the main valve but it still does the same. The only mode where it doesn't loose air is when I leave the car in high, like for snow. If I don't loose air on that mode I know the bags are ok but in any other mode, comfort of sport, I loose air. Any thoughts?
Probably means you need new air springs. The Arnott ones aren't incredibly expensive ($200/ea), although full Airmatic on all four wheels may be different (I have a wagon with just rear self-leveling).
14 or 17 mm , honestly I don' t remember now...anyway Mercedes has been using since decades ago the same misure for diffs and manual transmission plug...
I removed the Wabco Continental ZSB suspension compressor on my 2005 Audi Allroad. I have a hard and steady 01397 code failure indicating the N111 solenoid was bad. I didn't see any bad wiring anywhere, so I removed the compressor. How do I bench check this compressor to confirm it's bad? It seemed to be working fine before it failed suddenly as I was driving it. Over a week or so it sunk down evenly to the lowest stops on all fours wheels. When I disconnected the brown airline to it, air was released as of it was being stored well in the system. The numbers after Wabco are: 001 0424. Does this mean it was made on 2004? Thanks!
Sorry for late replay.. let me know iy you finally solved your problem.. it seams to me the problem could be the release valvle on the compressor... this could be your first check..
Sir i have a question i have w210 petrol car 1997 manual gear .. Gear no have oil then i fill 4 liter oil when i start the car and when i race the padel then gear oil is coming outside for filling location ..if you know the problem just help me
plastic rigid tube (Rilsan) external diameter is 4mm and 8mm... go to the home dipo and ask for air fast fitting for Rilsan tube as the diameters above.. gauges and other hardware is 1/8...
@@diycarmechanic587 Great video but I am having the same problem in locating the parts to do this. I do not want to take the connectors off the tubing so knowing what the threads are would help a lot in getting a couplers etc that I can screw the tubes into. The tubes on my E250 2012 are OD 4.2mm and 6.3mm.
black plastic circular piece with eletric connector on the opposite of cylinder in the compressor.. open it and check for internal corrosion..is a solenoid valvle so you can use a tester for checking continuity and a 12 volt source for testing proper functioning..
