Was not just Italy. Portugal in the group stage was kind of the same, and Spain got robbed in the quarter finals in a scandalous way. They even tried with Germany in the semis, but literally there were nothing they can do. Fair winner just because that Brazil was basically unstoppable, but 3 of the 7 or 8 great teams were robbed by Korea and Fifa (and it's been proven in the court)
Your comment is ignorant stop crying like a lil baby and accept the truth that Italy was robbed of the possibilty to win the WC, wich they did btw 4 years later, and the match was rigged.
It was toxic match, with bad calls on each side. Do we forget about the broken nose, or Panucci's tackle from behind that only got him a yellow? Totti dragged his foot on the grass to stumble before making contact with the Korean defender. It was dive, hence it was a booking, hence it was a red card for second yellow. The outraged reaction to this match in the West (where I live) comes from an inability to accept that Italy lost to South Korea, which stemmed from a sense of superiority with a hint of subconscious racism.
Oh boy🤷🏻🤦🏻spare me your contrived pseudo theories and pointless non arguments the match was rigged. The Ref was convicted for manipulating games years later. Either you are just ignorant about it or you are lying on purpose, because of envy xenophobia or anti Italian racism.
You mean except the fact that they basically admitted for rigging games for SK in this tournament? That Italian team was absolutely stacked, no chance in hell those Koreans beat them straight up. Dives are never ever called during World Cup play, and you called diving at the end of the match to kick Italy’s most dangerous forward out of the game? Nice try, son lol
@@nsalerno91 Please share a credible report that substantiates the allegation that the games were fixed. Also, upsets happen in almost every tournament. Finally, dives were a point of emphasis by FIFA that year because there was a diving epidemic in the early 2000s, and they were not only called but also shown a yellow card. This was the new rule during that time.
