well you can make standard aluminium stiff by heating it up in the oven tell it's dark red and then dumping it in oil. you'll be better to stamp a creas channel in the uprights better stiffness and lower resonance
I'm interested in how you create a driver with the emphasis on bass like this and what you compromise to achieve this? This is the nature of all speaker designs i know.
