I put a 332 engine in my excavator, and it needs a little more power! Did you get a good power gain from the turbo?? I have much more room on the ex... thanks!!
Yeah, it’s kind of weird. I have a different tractor with the same motor and it makes like 20 psi idol. I’ve never had a problem with either of them so I’m not worried.
Trucks currently at about 418,000 I need to make an update video. The truck is pretty hyped up though, so you can’t really take mine as a good example of reliability If you know what I mean, considering everything that has been done to it is probably not as reliable as a stock truck. However I would say if the truck is all rotted out and it still decent truck it’s probably worth putting head gaskets in hard to say without knowing your situation.
@@modificationnation8554 all I have done to it as far as performance is total delete of everything even LB7 up pipe, duramaxtuner EFI live, HSP y bridge and stock air filter.
I’m currently having issues with my truck. It’s a 2004 LB7. Ran perfect before I changed the transmission lines. I removed the passenger side wheel well covering and only unplugged the MAF sensor on the intake. I started the truck after installing new lines to check for leaks and turned it off. I had the passenger side intercooler pipping disconnected during start up. But it still fired up. After putting everything back together. The passenger side intercooler pipping made contact with the positive post on the battery cause a small quick spark. When everything was back together and plugged in. The truck didn’t want to start. Cranks, no code. DFRP is 6.1k and it makes 6k. There RPM signal, on a scanner I can see .1 or .01 MAF reading can’t remember. Again, truck ran perfect before line replacement. And fired up 30 minutes before putting it all together. Any suggestions. I checked the fuses and can’t seem to find any blown ones.
you are truly the fucking best i have an lb7 285000 no issues on saturday parked on a slope go to start truck no crank no start. put in a new starter and new netural saftey switch on the allison still nothing i was just about to cave and send it to the shop and i saw ur video. ran out to my truck check that fuse(which i have checked 3 times already idk why they make it so hard to see, guess i shoulda looked harder before spending 500$ in parts lol) and it was blown. ran down to auto parts store, got home put her in. bam fired right up no problems. bro ur the best, this might the best yt vid i have ever seen thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, but it just came out of the blue one day then it went away and then it came back another day all over the course of two years and now it’s just doing it all the time.
I would say the primer did not dry long enough. Either way I end up having to cut and buff the roof and now it’s like glass and you cannot tell that anything ever happened.
I have a question I have 6.6 duramax van 2006 g3500 and my van will start in the morning but after an half hour of driving all my dash lights go hay wire and then back to normal sometimes stay off .. after I stop I have have to wait at least half hour before it will start also sometimes I turn it off my key domes out but van stays running…… help
That’s a really good question that’s a very strange problem. I’ve never heard of that happening before if I were in your shoes, I’ll start with unplugging your computer and making sure all the connections are good and put it all back together. With dialectical Greece and see if that helps any and maybe try replacing the ignition switch best of luck to you.
Is this a dry sleeve block or did you have to bore the block? I just picked up a yanmar 3tne68 I'm putting in a Case 446. It was a sailboat generator and only has 500 hrs on it but I'm pulling some of it apart because it's been sitting for years in a warehouse. So far I've rebuilt the injection pump and I'm waiting for a head gasket to attempt to start it. It had a lot of sludge in the oil pan that I cleaned out. I'm hoping everything is ok but won't know till I can do a compression test. I'm hoping it's good as I really don't want to go down the road of rebuilding it if I don't have to. I'd love to pick your brain on your turbo setup as I want to do something similar and totally agree with not using a cheap Chinese turbo off ebay.
Well to answer your first question I had it board 10 over and got oversize pistons I’ve seen those eBay kits for putting in dry sleeves but honestly if your black still has enough material left I would machine and put oversized pistons. Yeah you can ask me whatever you want about the turbo I’ve done it twice so I’ve learned a few things on the dues and don’ts and what holds up
@@modificationnation8554 yeah that's what I was trying to confirm, all the rebuild kits have sleeves but there is no mention of sleeves anywhere in the manuals. My engine is like brand spanking new inside except the cylinder walls have a bit of staining from sitting. That's my concern. Overall the engine is like brand new though which is amazing. If the compression is low, I'm hoping to get away with a light hone, and some piston and ring kits. Overall the injection pump was stuck from sitting, I got that fixed and now I'm working on the injectors. Do you have an email I could talk to you through for more questions on the turbo? Or text or something?
Just fix my 2004 LB7 no start no crank. Found the same 40 amp fuse blowing when I we to crank it. So I tried to bypass with a screwdriver to the starter Solenoid and it turn over. Put a new 40 amp fuse and it started right up. I think the starter got stuck whilr parking on a slope. With a little rock back from the trailer.
