I.ve seen Beth live...at the sage..Newcastle....she walked on and said...this looks far too posh...or something similar....what a true artist she is....my opinion on music is that it's all about emotion...wether it's beth or the pistols...this woman is special in my opinion...someone who can portray hers and many others with life's struggles through her music and that voice...just my opinion...so don't shout..😂...forget Whitney and the likes...BTW.. not dissing them...but Beth Hart...omg..what a singer...one that really does move u...

One of the most famous mondegreens. Recaps the craziness of becoming an adult--I hear the roller coaster and calliope as an analogy for the hopes and dreams, naivety of life, and the people who make promises or take advantage. The needle you have to thread to grow up, mature. Fun song, and was as close to disco as I was going to get (although...)

Great reaction, thanks - that really took me back. I lost count of the times I saw Earthband live, they were my favourite band for a long time. Chris Thompson was such a good vocalist and that was Manfred Mann himself singing the verses at the end while Chris repeated the "Blinded by the light .... " parts. This wasn't the only Springsteen song they covered (and dare I say improved). The Roaring Silence was such a good album, but they had several excellent albums - 'Nightingales and Bombers', 'Angel Station', 'The Good Earth', 'Watch', 'Solar Fire', 'Chance' and some more I can't remember as well as a load of greatest hit type albums ... but these ones were my favourites.

No other guitarist combined technical prowress, tone, feeling, showmanship, and physicality like Stevie did---period!! AND throw in that singing voice that fit in perfectly with the playing. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this magnificent performance. Great art is thought-provoking, and this piece is and always has been that. :) For me, shying away from Jesus' humanity does Him a disservice and minimizes the full sacrifice He made. One thing you said that got me thinking is that it was performed like an inner dialogue. I thought that was so profound given that Jesus is also fully God. Wow.

Excellent guitar videos are Loner cover, and the Rocky 4 Montague. He just released his first song on his new album of Majestica called a new beginning, it's awesome. 🙌👏🎸🎶💙Hey Alan👋🌹. Couldn't click fast enough when this notification turned up. I always enjoy your reactions but especially Stevie Ray. The look in your eyes mirror my own showing awe, amazement, respect, and love. Somehow I never tire of his music or his genuine passion. Each and every time I watch him play, it's as if it is the first time. But the more I watch/listen the more respect and appreciation I have. How pleasantly surprised I was to hear you mention me probably suggesting this. I appreciate your dedication to details👌. Before I go to buy some coffees I would love you to keep this next request in mind. Riveria Paradise is considered by many, myself included, to be Stevie's masterpiece. He was working on it for a number of years but perfected it after his own rehab and recovery. It acknowledges the pain of being trapped in addiction, gives a musical healing balm for a weary spirit, and infuses the spirit of recovery and regained power and strength, unfolding peace and freedom. He dedicates it to all those still suffering in any way. It is very much on the slow jazzy side. It really expresses so much of his own personal path and the triumph over his life. He spent the last years of his life helping people find their way out and it meant everything to him to do that. He felt strongly that music has a strong healing force and I agree🎶 The performance is from Austin City Limits 1989. You are looking great Alan! Life must be agreeing with you🦋

Hi Harriet , I have put aside Riviera Paradise for a while , I’ve asked myself why ? Uncomplicated answer , not ready not aware enough of who he was musically , so yes I’m approaching it with a more educated mind set now .. I absolutely take conversation ( digital or not ) as a good thing and value them , I do genuinely screen shot and make notes , perhaps I’d do a behind the making of a reaction one time , but it’s simple , I’m just curious about what I don’t know and curious about what I think I know in exactly the same measure .. If that makes sense 😊 In case I wasn’t explicit “ Riviera Paradise “ is next .. for 2 reasons , you asked and secondly I’m ready 😊 oh and your email on my buy me a coffee page just pinged .. headed thier in a minute 😎👍

@@alan-reacts65 well for whatever reason you have yet to react to Riveria Paradise, I pronounce you ready to absorb, appreciate, and be in awe of this man’s mastery and how he is able to pray through his guitar. Have to share a story from the recording session of this song. He had the lights turned down in his room, turned his back so he couldn’t see anyone and started playing. He had been told they only had a certain amount of minutes left on the tape. He said no problem. But he was still playing and the tape was running out. They frantically tried to get his attention to wrap it up but he didn’t see them. Then with seconds to spare he finished🎶. Everyone was astonished. When asked why no lights and back turned he said it was as close to praying with his guitar as he could get. You will hear his prayers 🙏🙏🙏🎶🎶
