I'm curious:I've practiced subharmonics for a few months now, and it's become super easy for me. The thing is, I'm still growing, and it's difficult to differentiate between my natural chest voice and my subharmonic range. I slip from one to the other so easily. I'm not quite sure, but I think my lowest chest note is a C2. How can I tell the difference between chest and subharmonic?

I'ma try this when my wife is at work again (she has some days off now). She pretty judgemental about things like this. Anyway, of course it helps to move your hands. I've been beatboxing for like, 10 years now (still suck at it, I can not do neat tricks, or whatever) and this growling, and techniques you just told us, kinda are used in beatboxing as well. Like, the coughing, and then take that specific part, this is also how you learn how to do robotic voices. I have been doin' this for years, and indeed it first hurts ya throat so bad 😹 But I was super dedicated to learn this. Now I can do robotic voices without hurting my voice. Easy. But, why am I telling this? It's practically not possible for a beatboxer to hold his hands still. And as this is also some type of beatboxing technique, it's impossible for you as well to hold your hands still. It's that simple. No beatboxer can do it, it just happens.
