The old manual control Frigidaire 5000 btu is really nice. I run mine during power outages in summer from a simple solar setup using a 300ah 12v LiFeP04 battery, ac inverter, and 2 synced Victron 100/30 smart solar charge controllers connected to 400 watts of panels each. You can also get a LiFeP04 plug-in charger for a battery like this and simply top it off before storms and have some emergency power stored and use it to save extra energy from a gas generator.

how do you cotrol humidity?

You're missing one key part of your video - maintenance. I have a different portable AC unit, hence my looking into getting a different one. And what I've learned is that things like removable air filters so you can blow the dust off them and the water reservoir which, for those who don't know, is where the water in a humid environment will go as the AC is cooling, are after thoughts. Do you have any advice on these maintenance aspects for the Coolzy?
@AirConditionerLab
@AirConditionerLab 18 часов назад
good point - I'll do an update video after 6-12 months, but in general, with portable ACs it's just a simple filter change that's needed every 6 or so months.

Am I missing something why is cubic feet not used instead of square feet. It’s an incomplete equation.
@AirConditionerLab

Mostly because people care about footprint. In general, size up if you have higher ceilings, more sunlight, poor insulation etc.

Evaporative coolers are a shirt term ripoff. swamp coolers raise the humidity in an enclosed space. You don't give nearly enough info about tour number one pick. You are trying ti get affiliate money rather than truly review anything. 👎👎👎

Here is our video review of the #1 product - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p-ttpiAkpXY.html& Unfortunately Ventless AC units are not something technology has mass produced at this stage so this list reflects the best options of whats currently available for people.

I like mechanically controlled units controlled with a smart plug and a temp sensor. Many of these don't have eco-modes and will run the fan 24/7 (unless you turn it completely off). This leads to higher indoor humidity because the condensation just gets reevaporated and blown back into the room instead of being allowed time to drip. The fancy ones have eco-modes but still run their fans periodically to check the room's temp, which is annoying. Another advantage to using smart plugs is your ability to create timers as well as an away setback mode which automatically adjusts your target temp based on time of day and whether anyone is home .

Levoit air purifiers do not have a VOC sensor, so the volume is not adjusted automatically. I got the answer from the official support.

What a bs list. Sorry but come on guy. Portables aint even in the discussion for 7 "Best". Portables are all garbage for cooling to energy draw. They dont operate like typical ac does. They cycle regardless of temp for evaporating water every so many minutes. All of them do this, so they really aint good for "controlling temps/humidity". So why even have them in the discussion about best. Splits are always the best with windows 2nd. Your number 2 was a Portable somehow. Is this sponsored content?? Windows and splits dont have this "cycle" issue.

We haven't used any AI to develop this video. We decided to use brand footage and discuss these products because the production time and cost are very excessive when having so many choices. Noted, though, as I appreciate the feedback. We will aim to make a longer video that showcases these methods' use when cooling a windowless room.

@AirConditionerLab Thank you for your reply. Sorry for mislabeling your video as ai generated. Lately, it has been hard to find videos that aren't ai generated unless they are from large content creators. I think there is no need to modify the way you create your videos. This video is useful for people with limited knowledge of cooling technologies. May the algorithm bless you with more viewers.

The issue with the coolzy is its just a regular unit with the vent off.. it heats up the rest of your room and really only works if you sit right in front of it. I returned mine shortly after purchasing.
@AirConditionerLab
@AirConditionerLab Месяц назад
Yes, this is how it is was designed, just worth more flexibility with the venting both at the front and the back. I am sure plenty of people also buy and return it as they don't understand the situations it should be used for.

How to spot an affiliate farm: 1) They claim they’ve used each of these units but have no footage of them using it. 2) The only commentary is about things you can find online / sounds like they’re reading spec sheets and the top 5 reviews on amazon. These people are too lazy to hide it, otherwise they’d get a real job or provide actual value to you.

Thanks for the video. I have a detached 2-car garage, current;y cooled by a faithful old 2-ton window A/C, installed though the back wall. I would like to upgrade to heat pump with inverter technology. It seems like this would be a no-brainer for LG, since they already have a 2-ton "Dual Inveter" window unit, and they also already have the technology for building and controlling inverter heat pumps in their own ductless mini-split offerings, but so far, I am not seeing it. I considered changing to a mini-split, but the indoor air handlers are quite large and offer very little mounting flexibility, so I would have to give up a lot of storage space in order to fit one in. By comparison, the windows A/C format requires essentially no space inside the garage. I'm just hoping that you might have come across something that fits the bill. I feel like 2 tons is just about right for the space. It is enough to reduce the temperature by 15F within an hour, and it almost enough to cope with frequently opening the big door, as is often required when working in the garage. Any ideas?

REFUND REQUESTED BEFORE DEADLINE PER WARRANTY POLICY. Hi Saintmichael9815, Thanks for reply. To receive a refund we need to first determine that the product is faulty. To determine whether or not the product is faulty there are two options: 1. You can make a video showing the fault. The video needs to show the machine, where it is being used, the rear control panel and the remote control. The fault needs to be clearly explained in the video so that we can ascertain whether or not the product is performing as expected. If the fault is related to temperature, you'll need to demonstrate it using a thermometer, or 2. You ship the product to our technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. The technician will inspect and test the unit. If the unit is not performing as expected, you will be given the choice of receiving a new unit or a refund (including your cost of shipping the product to Utah). If the product is found to not be defective, then the product remains your property and you'll be required to pay for it's shipping back to your location. As you can see from the above, it is preferable to determine if the product is faulty via video to save having to ship the unit back to Utah. We understand that you have spoken to a customer service representative on the phone but we cannot verify if the product is faulty via a phone call. We need to see that the unit is in the correct mode, used in the correct conditions and that the correct tempuratures are being achieved. Due to the tyranny of distance, we offer customers the chance to do this via video to save money and time. Hope this helps. Coolzy

Room size for this model depends on how its being used. With the venting attached - up to about 90 sq ft but without the venting - 30-50 sq ft as its better for direct cooling towards a person.

Our mini-splits produce much colder air than our central unit in summer and much warmer air in winter. When the central unit is blowing $$$ luke warm air in winter, the minis are producing pleasantly warm air. No contest.

@AirConditionerLab
@AirConditionerLab 2 месяца назад
It can cool a small room, but it has half the BTUs of most portable ACs, so think of it as half the cooling power. This is why it's better used as spot cooling in garages, when sleeping in warm rooms, or in rooms venting is difficult.
