Hallo! Sehr schönes Auto! Überlege mir so ein Fahrzeug anzuschaffen als "Daily Driver". Auf was sollte man achten? Ist der Unterhalt teuer? Wo liegt das Fahrzeug preislich. Will unbedingt einen Turbodiesel egal ob 250d oder 300d mit Schiebedach :-) Liebe Grüße aus Wien
The registration is a one time fee of 170 Euro - the yearly payments in Austria are for insurance: 600 Euro, plus 640 for taxes ... this is pretty high, because the car has 147 horsepowers. In comparison: the taxes for a 200D with 72 hp would only be 215 Euros.
I think you could probably buy it off mercedes - which will cost a fortune, or you look for a car like this one and use it as for spares. The main problem with these cars is the rust. So if you find one cheap, the engine will probably be fine. Good luck!
OM603 turbo diesel had the largest radiator fitted to a W124 (also used in 500E). Temp gauge is touching upper level of normal operating range on guage. This is unusual in open road driving. So have to check: radiator antifreeze quality and quantity, radiator core for any block, viscous hub of fan, thermostat valve...
@@Prakgreat my father s om 603 non turbo runs at the same temperature with all the refrigeration components in good condition.. the diesel engine needs to work at its proper temperature, less that that, the engine tends to wear away prematurely. The w123 runs to 82 c'
Zwischen 8,5 und 9,5 Liter bei meiner Fahrweise - teilweise mit Anhänger - oft Kurzstrecke - nie Autobahn und nicht spritsparend. Ich vermute man könnte damit auch unter 8 Liter fahren wenn man das möchte.
