I literally beat Infinite LASO solo in one sitting on a Saturday, took about 4-5 hours with breaks. I dont' even consider Infinite to be a proper LASO run b/c of how easy it is. Infinite grapple+tank gun = unstoppable. And if you really wanna cheese it further, dump all your spartan cores into evasive thrust or whatever its called, the highest rank of it lets you go invisible for a few seconds after using it, and since you can spam it due to bandana skull, you're basically invisible the whole time if you want to be. For anyone attempting it, don't kill Escharum with the tank gun, it wont count. What I did was use tank gun on him and every other level, then just replay House of Reckoning" mission, when you get to escharum, switch the tank gun with rockets (found in the room where the boss battle happens, just dont interact w/ the pilot right away, grab rockets first along the outer circular perimeter of the room). Once you defeat him w/ a non tank gun weapon (rockets in this case), achievement pops. You DEFINITELY want the tank gun for the mission that comes after escharum thats why I suggest beating the entire game w/ tank gun first, then just replay the escharum fight and use something else.
The despair upon being forced to deal with the bullshit Hunter encounter again. 😂😂 I feel you guys, it was bullshit. Also Matt's screams 7:57 & 8:10 😂😂
Ive been subbed for some years now, loved every LASO Experience. I hope they release a good new game just so i can watch another one of these. Yall bring back my childhood halo 1/2 memories fr, so much soul has been lost in gaming over the years. Thanks for keeping the spirit of Halo alive!
My friend and I had the exact same experience with the last mission. Stupid thing is so glitchy and buggy we had to restart the level multiple times just to get the doors at the start to open correctly, let alone the bridge section. Had us fighting the game itself more than the enemies lmao. Took us multiple nights to get through it, but glad you guys made it through too. It’s been fun watching you both play through a LASO campaign again. And you’re spot on about tater tots lmao. They’re always the same.
My mom always undercooked tater tots. So the inside had like a raw. Tangy potato taste. I asked her if she followed the instructions, she said yes, I'd watch her and she'd just put it on a lower setting then eyeball the clock.
Dude, that last or second to last level SUCKED with checkpoints. Doors just wouldn’t open half the time and we had to restart the entire level multiple times bc it soft locked us even when we played through the whole level normally. As an aside tho, you make a compelling point about tater tot reviews.
Just wanted to say I’ve started a Halo 5 Solo LASO and it’s absolutely brutal. Mission 1 (Osiris) has taken me 2:10 hours and 6 deaths which I consider pretty good for me. On the other hand though mission 2 (team blue) is absolutely insane. I’ve been losing my mind for over 16 hours and died 92 times
That Hunter room is the hardest thing in the game on Legendary difficulty. Honestly its so broken on Coop let alone solo. Maybe the hardest part of any Halo game I've done including the Jackal Snipers from Halo 2, especially considering its just 1 room and 2 enemies.
Indeed, its not even like other Halo missions/areas where people specifically watch those parts to laugh at, here it just brings back the frustration. Its because its badly designed for Legendary difficulty where as the hardest parts of other Halos are tough, but they feel well designed. It reminds me of that one Jurassic Park game for the PS1 where you are locked in a small shipping room with 2 T-rex's aggroed on you.
