Those young players can outdo most major college drum lines going into DCI. I guess they don't have a coach and learned by themselves. This is crazy...! I come from a much more privileged background but, as we speak, after the last job I seem to be able to keep due to disability is not enough for my needs, I have strong of 18 years of drumming. I thought I wouldn't have fun drumming without a hi-hat and so on. But seeing those young lads in action I realized how wrong I was! Bucket drumming is amazing and is own art form in itself. I can't do much stick twirling but hey, one can learn! I remember I could make up to 50 an hour a couple years ago, but I tried that with much heavier kit, metal snare in a suitcase and stuff. I broke my back like an idiot because I didn't want to play on buckets...! What an idiotic thing to do. Buckets are great!
