On my second set of the Elite Velour for the HD6XX as of today. Sadly my first set basically disintegrated after a little less than a year (around 11 months) of daily driving. I do wear my HD6XX for a long time each day but I do hope the second set will last me longer than just about a year. Sound-wise they are great, durability-wise I hope I just got a bad batch or something the first time around, because 11 months is even worse than the stock pads.
I want more bass, but also don't want to sacrifice any high detail (brightness). I was already thinking about cutting out your piece of fabric you put on the back. But I'm unsure what pads would offer the best bass, while retaining as much of the highs as possible. I don't want to lose any detail.
Much easier than I had been led to believe, on forums. The pry tool and the video makes it much easier. One tip: rotate around the ear pad looking for gaps, and where you find one, pinch the outer ring of the pad inward and down, then back out for it to snap in. There is no need for anything more than light-moderate force so if you find yourself needing more, adjust and start over. I got the fenestrated sheepskin and they are surprisingly similar sound profile to the original. Perhaps ghostly subtle recess of bright treble, equally microscopic increase in presence, slight diet on the boxy/bloaty baritone/midbass. For my particular tastes it's two micro-ups and one micro-down, for an overall gain. That's before we talk about the comfort and feeling of quality, which is all rainbows and unicorns, tip-top, pure excellence, faultless, A++
Yo hey great video, but could you make a video about the Sony xm5, mine got wet and they still work but one speaker side makes weird sounds if I wear them, would really love to know how to fix it
It sounds like you might have shorted something on the interior of the headphones. Noise cancelling headphones have a lot of electronics inside each earcup including microphones and microchips that handle a lot of processing. I would recommend sending them in for repair. Without having them in our hands, it is hard to diagnose the issue.
so much time has passed since these were released and still Dekoni has Only two earpads for them the worst ones actually no Choice Suede not even one good earpads from the DT770 are made for DT700 this is the Only reason why i didn't buy them it's good beyerdynamic Released DT770 Pro X with DT700 Pro X driver and removable cable

Just got my Elite Sheepskin for the LCD series and the tape was not "preapplied". That just introduces another layer of difficulty to the process, and it pisses me off royally.
Hello, there are a quite a few different headphone models that our LCD pads can fit on. Some of these headphones do not require the tape ring. To allow for more compatibility across brands, the tape is now included separate in the box.
I bought elite valour for 58X, but I ordered 2 pairs to make up free shipping The sound is pretty close to stock earpads However, I have to shuffle among these 4 to make 100% matched pair (playing mono audio to make sure it's right on the center)

You may use a flat head screwdriver or a metal butter knife. Please note that you might scratch the chassis of the headphone. We recommend to exercise caution when using metal objects to pry the earpad off.
After trying a lot of pads, I ended up with the Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin for my DT 1990 Pro. The package of sound and comfort is amazing. I also got the ZMF Pilot Pad, which enhanced comfort to 13/10. Thank you Dekoni for your amazing pads.
So, I picked up the Velour pads from Electromod AND it has to be said, they hit the sweet spot, where I need to listen to all of my favourite music on them!!! Absolutely, love them: they introduce an order of space, soundscape and vocal clarity that is a huge step beyond the included Maxwell pads. Comfort is also a huge bonus, and they really cup the ear. Bass is still there, but now it is clearer and less muddy. GREAT PADS. Worth every penny. Thank you, Paul.

I am glad Amazon has Real Sheepskin Leather Earcup’s Replacements. And also why not All makers of Headphones do what Apple and Sonos have done..Magnetic Earcups. Make live easier of cleaning up our earcups.
But..If Goober Dude had only replaced a Earcup One At a Time..and check out the configuration of that old earcup and see how it lined up after you took it off..All that other bs he said is 100% not needed. One at a Time..Check out the older cup placement plastic pins..line up ur new earcup the same way with the old earcup u just took off…is a heck of a lot easier. Hi, I got a pair of these delivered this week and just like the dekoni pads for my focal elegia, the quality of the pads far exceeds the original in the box pads. BUT I need your tuning advice. With the focal elegia the pads added bass and fixed the sound out of the box. With the Maxwell I'm struggling. They pull every detail from the background and make everything I listen to sound aggressive, for example Lyle Lovett North Dakota has a gentle timer in the background but with these pads the clicking timer is as loud as the backing vocalist. With The Velvet Underground singing Heroin, the violinists texture becomes disturbingly harsh. Please advise on EQ setting for these pads. I want to wear them full time.

I meant Electromod. I purchased a pair of the Velour ones today. I should have read the description that clearly states the sheepskin are for gaming and velour for music.
Why would you ever replace such comfortable stock earpads with a downgraded $50-$70 earpad, please explain. One customer @wxndr even said they're not worth it at all and to stick with the OEM ones? niche market for the same price I can buy replacement stock earpads
I bought one of these and I strongly recommend DO NOT BUY. The padding is very thin memory foam which compresses very easily and offers no real padding support. Imo they should do a redesign and double or even triple the thickness. You could buy Dekoni nuggets as those are quiet effective due to their thickness or go w/ stock Sennheiser headband which would probably be cheaper.
Hi, I'm looking to clean (disinfect, remove oils/dirt) my fenestrated sheepskin earpads from dekoni, would this be adequate in cleaning it? If it's alcohol based wouldn't that damage the leather (since it's real leather)? Or is it fine to use this and then immediately dry off the solution with a microfibre cloth. Or is my only option for deep cleaning the leather to use a leather conditioner?
1. Do not use leather conditioner, it smells weird and will shrink the leather. This will deform the earpad 2. Alcohol will dry out the leather and cause it to crack 3. We recommend using a lightly damp cloth with water or a lint roller to grab oils and debris from the earpad. 4. Our cleaning spray is alcohol based, we recommend only using it on the plastic or metal pieces of your headphone.
I am here because I bought a set of pads for my Philips X2HR 3 years ago and they've seen better days (fully my fault, not a quality issue at all! I have a habit of laying down on the headset) and I put the stock pads back on and I just can't deal with it! So here I am buying another set and picking up a couple more pads for some of my lesser used headset! Definitely recommend!
