Hallo. Als jemand der selbst die Pipes spielt und für diese Musik brennt, finde ich das viel zu viel dazwischen gequasselt wird! Das ist leider ein Problem bei all diesen Veranstaltungen. Man sollte da einen besseren Ausgleich finden. Leider nimmt das sehr viel von dem Vergnügen zuzuschauhören. Grüße aus dem Harz

It’s my mother’s fault! If she had given me a practise chanter at conception i might have been able to play like Andrew. Oops, wait, now that i listened to his last tune and watched his fingers i think i should have taken up the tom tom instead of the pipes. This guy is fantastic.
Senior Pipe Major was Peter Toole who had been the Senior Pipe Major for quite a few years running when I went to the 2000 Edinburgh Tattoo. That was his last tattoo in that role
Errr, Pete Toole was never a piper let alone a pipe major, he was senior drum major. He was the senior drum major of ASBM&HD after he left the Bn, that's why he was top DM at the tattoo in later years.
I am just seeing this for the very first time. And I cannot understate how impressed I am by these people. I only wish that I may get to see it in person one day!!!
There are mistakes in the description, naming the first tune: it is NOT the Edinburgh Police Pipers, it is called "The Clan MacRae Society", composed by P/M Willie Ferguson. Also the reel is NOT The Brown Haired Maiden, it is called "John Morrison of Assynt House", composed by P/M Peter MacLeod Snr. All three tunes in the MSR set can be found in the Scots Guards Book 3.
