In July 2024, the pop world tells John Waite and Allison Krauss that they are "Missing You" due to their remake of this nostalgic 40 year old chartbusting song/video.
They don’t know anything about real life” most likely some rich spoiled kid from Calif” good luck” they certainly know nothing about music. Forget them, we love her and all her beautiful music and her soul.
Ms. Nina Simone was one of the most beautiful ladies.. and it’s a beauty that originates from INSIDE and radiates out. Look at her here! Stunning. And a genius
Sorry Linda,,i forgot to say happy birthday yesterday,,to the most glorious woman to ever put so much into every single song she recorded,,no one will ever touch your beautiful voice ❤️
God, take me back to the 1980s and '90s! I miss those times so much... My childhood, obviously. 🤗 Music was BIG with me since I bought my first 7" (well, I got my mum to get me it). 49p from Sainsbury's, in 1982, Musical Youth - "Pass The Dutchie". I was 3 years old! 😊 I was 10 when this came out. So miss watching The Tube, The Word, The White Room, The Chart Show, TOTP, The Old Grey Whistle Test, Rapido, Noisy Mothers etc. etc. and all that! *Sigh!* 🥹☺️🥲 "Those were the days... *mumble-mumble... grumble-grumble...* ! 🤔😕😞 ✌🏻😘👌🏻
Was this recorded in the original Top of the Pops studio on Dickinson Rd, in Rusholme, Manchester?; if it was 1965 it might have been. It must have coincided with their British tour at that time at any rate. Strange to think of David Crosby being in the same city as Graham Nash of the Hollies (who came from Manchester) before they actually met and got to know each other in California in '68. Classic footage of the original and best Byrds. More research suggests it was recorded for the BBC in London on August 10th (aired on the 12th). They had a gig in Bristol the next day, so maybe not in the original studio, but added for the programme. They did nevertheless perform the same song also in Granada TV studios, Manchester that month on the way to Croydon, but most likely a separate performance, now lost.
James, I "met" you as a teenager through this album and it was love at first hearing. Passionate love. Thank you for existing. You're one of God's gifts to humanity. If you ever came to Italy, give us a shout. I can make you some lasagna or anything you like 😂
Only 4 days since the Supreme Court of the USA destroyed 248 years of our founding fathers intentions for the very foundation of this country. I'm still in shock and so so depressed. This song was played by local dj and it blew me away. Perfectly conveys my emotions right now. Utter disbelief.
