Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) and International Ration Pack Reviews & More. My approach to rations is as a veteran artillery soldier that literally was forced to consume hundreds of these things over 5 years. I explore what other countries give their forces to eat and creature comforts compared to what I got when I was in the Army. Not here to be serious just to have fun.
Golden Rule: Please treat others as you'd want to be treated. Cheers
The RSP said the weight in the first column (the weight column, signifying grams)... and the Kakeblokker m/Kakao said so ON THE PACKAGE.. how about just.. read?
Never heard of Indian soldiers having MRE 🤣🤣. Honestly i only know that they carry roti and some curry for the roti infact i have even sat and eaten with them but this MRE is something i have never seen or heard before. Infact i believe most of the soldiers don't even know what MRE is.
The emergency blanket works well as a reflector for your stove, to keep wind off fire or your eating area like an emergency tent/tarp. All you need is twine and a nearby tree.
This was my favorite MRE bc it came with the best sides and all the sides were usually tolerable One time I had TWO Poptarts along with the wheat bread !!! And pretzels
Is it just me or does it seem like you can tell how serious a military is based on how tactical their ration packaging is?! If you just hand your troops a literal ziplock bag with no other protective packaging, apparently you arent expecting much to happen!
I wouldn't eat it in the daylight -- it looks disgusting -- but it sounds tasty. Glamorous dessert: raspberry bar and French cappucino? What do they serve in the mess halls nowadays? Real food?
Let it be a lesson for Western pro-Palestine activists that you cannot lie about ration quality when Gundog and Steve1989MREInfo exist. I haven't heard any actual on-site Gazans complaining. The guy that everyone talks about is in Canada.
In the early 1990ths I got US army rations quite overdue from the late 1970ths and German rations from the mid-1980ths. Not wanting to waste them I ate them all. Nothing special, a bit drab but definitely filled my stomach. I got so many US and German expired food rations that I basically ate two per week for a whole year. Saved me a ton of money during University time. Edit, ah, I forget what weird time that was. During University my mother got for many months into hospital for an undiagnosable kidney problem, only 25 years later they were able to diagnose it. At the same time my Grandpa became weak and sickly so I had to take care of University, Mum and Grandpa all at once without an income. Thanks to social welfare and health insurance we made it through that time. A buddy gave me all these slightly expired rations and actually my Grandpa liked them too. They were really easy on the stomach.
its funny cause american MRE's are some of the best cause we spend billions of dollars to make some of the best tasting and most calorically dense mres out there. the idf is probably eating worse. and russians & ukrainians get canned slop. palestinians are gold medalists in the victim olympics..
