Those pictures are of Kings of England. Mainly George the Fifth, who was the emperor when India became independent. There was a picture of current Prince of Wales, William and his consort Kate. The picture of the man on the horse back is that of Napoleon. It is the reproduction of a famous painting of Napoleon by Jacques David. I think one of the pictures was of Mary Antoinette, the queen of France who was killed during the French Revolution. In the lobby there was a picture of the late queen Victoria. I think these pictures are kept in the hotel to live up to the name of the hotel, which is Windor Castle. The current line of kings of Britain come from the House of Windsor. If you ask me the whole theme of this hotel is rather silly.
