Just saw Willie and company Friday night in Selma, Alabama with The Selma Boys appearing at the Black Belt Benefits Development. What an incredible show. A 1963 Slingerland shell with 6 ply maple? They were 3 ply maple/poplar/maple up until the early 70's when they became 5 ply maple/poplar. I don't believe they ever made a 6 ply maple shell.
