I have loved to knit since i was a small child my father actually taught me, he was a sailor during WW2 and that's what he did in his spare time on the ships when he wasn't on duty, said it passed the time. I am a widow, my husband passed away in 2014 we had been married since 1967 have 3 sons born 1969, 1971, and 1974 and lots of grandchidren and great grandchildren, and RU-vid keeps me busy and out of mischief
Hello Sheila. You make me feel lazy. You have all these projects on the go.I'll need to pick up my needles as I am going to have another great grandchild in April .So that will keep me busy.x🥰
For those who don't know, many yarn shops offer knitting classes for beginners. Then there are guilds that one can join too. They offer classes as well and also are great fun. If you know anyone who knits, they can be a gold mine.
Love you discipline with your knitting ,I’m back at knitting after a number of years,I ordered 4 of your patterns, arrived today very quickly ,exactly what I wanted as I have a 17 month old granddaughter and they are superb thank you I am over the moon.
Oooothe scarf is cozy looking. Good you’re catching up . Beautiful WIPS . Love the orangy/pinky shawl in back of you and your matching sweater . Gosh you’ve been busy . Thanks for showing us all your things ! Gorgeous gorgeous work. Yes! Do your own! ❤xx
Lovely to have subscribed . I have binged on your videos and purchased your rosebud pattern for my new granddaughter arriving in January 2025 . Keep up the good work and I must say even though I am nearly 72 and learnt to knit at 7 I have learnt a lot from you . Keep up the good work . I am thankful my family of four children and nearly ten grandchildren love home knitteds . I guess I am fortunate that they do .
Thank you. I’m working on a pattern that was telling me to increase only on one side but the seem would end up curving while the other seam with be straight. So frustrating.
Its Perfect!...Mrs. Shiela, i just started knitting the mock rib 1 x3 16" carsigan and am in love....i was wondering, DO YOU HAVE A PATTERNS FOR ADULT SIZES? I measured and i think im 42 or 43 inches ...i want to knit myslef one of your cardigans@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191
Suggestion- your patterns are so reasonably priced- why not go to a printer and have copies printed and add the small printing fee onto your price ? You would save wear and tear on your printer and ink is SO expensive ! You could print a quantity of each pattern and you would conveniently have them to mail out . I would happily pay more for your patterns. Just a thought to make things easier!
I know what you mean . I had an iPad printer to print out photos on my iPad. After a couple years it started to act up … different to your type but same concept . It would light up yo say paper hammed( it was not) or check ink cartridge( it was fine) . Finally it just started to jam and stopped working ..so, trashed it , sadly. ❤x
Hello Sheila, I had a problem last week using PayPal on eBay. It wouldn't work and I kept trying. I did research and found that sellers don't have to accept PayPal. This seller did say they take PayPal. I waited a few days and tried again but it wouldn't work. Then, I signed into my PayPal account on their web site, the PayPal web site. It said they marked my account limited or something. I needed to update or verify my email address. I did that and then I can use PayPal again on eBay. I just ordered something on eBay and it worked. It must be some kind of security check or something. Take care 🇺🇲 ❤🇬🇧
You really saved me a headache with this video! The other videos that came up showed a different technique that didn't work at all with my pattern. Charming story too!

Thank you so much for posting this. I was driving myself nuts trying to understand the pattern (complete novice here), but this made it all completely clear.
Sheila you edges look really good ,do you do anything whilst knitting to end of rows to stop them curling, will be checking EBay over the next few days regarding your patterns, like them so much ,not the best when it comes to ordering on line, but will manage if I take my time, have a good afternoon.

Hi Sheila, you are a Jack-of-all-trades! I enjoy watching your videos and hearing about your daily activities. 🙂 Thank you for sharing those with us! I went on Derek's channel and subscribed - clicked on a random video and it was the one he was wearing the cardigan you knitted for him. 🙂 Take care and have a pleasant rest of your weekend!❤
