I keep coming back to this video, it's the only full recorded version of the live intro I've found and it's SO GOOD, the scream builds up the tragedy of the song so perfectly 😭 would kill to see them live
Right?! I've been searching for a studio version of the song with this gorgeous intro, but I can't, I'm dying for it. I'm guessing the intro is a treat for those who make the effort to see them live, but I need it too 😭
hot damn Tijuana----they just don't grow bluesmen like this anymore....who said Okies couldn't jam the blues....WS gives us 70 + yr old blues junkies somethin' to cheer about
Saw andre alot times through various parts of his career ins n outs....the original jailbait has to be up there for top tunes, 🥓 fat too....check out Frank Zappa and the mothers do cover of bacon gat. Def worth hunting that out.. thnx for this show I last saw him in 2001-2 in Portland Oregon..great show, lame crowd...Andre commented on the crowd...limp dick mofos.
I've been watching this band on RU-vid for the past 5 months and all I can say is nothing but great ! The singing voice's of Kate & Emilee are preformed from the heart ! The drumming of Rick & Ben's Bass sound better & stand out better on this live cut. Nice.
I've been asking myself the same question as you for the past 5 months and I came to realize this. I live in NYC and to answer your question the most wide spread & powerful medium is on the F.M. radio dial ether in your car or @ home. The radio spits out the same old shit & plays oldies & classic Rock and nothing new by older artists or new bands with talent & good music like the Accidentals or the Crain Wives. And other bands like them aren't getting any exposure and if I hadn't seen them both on PBS TV I wouldn't have heard of ether of them. Not even the local NY college F.M. station plays their music - Only a hand full of people know about these young talented bands, It's a shame.....
Oh my. How beautiful. I am so amazed at this sound. I have viewed other vids of these ladies. I am quite taken with them. They have become my new favorite. First time I heard this song was by The Carter Family, but their version is different - sung to the melody of This Land is Your Land.
