Nostalgia overload I played this as a kid in the 90s at home oh the memories and music it was so much fun, in the 90s my mum had to sit for hours at our computer and type in the letters/codes for this DOS game and if she got it wrong she had to write it all over again or try to find the missing letter/code, I remember her sitting at the computer being angry trying just to get this game just for me so I could play it in the 90s...thank you mum it was not easy to do that for hours on end but you did it because you loved me ... thank you for posting this I loved playing this 90s game in the 90s.
Summer of '98, 9AM, sitting at my Windows 3.1 machine, the smell of vanilla scent through the house, sun glowing into the room, and not a care in the world, playing Word Rescue, Duke Nukum, Crystal Caves and Commander Keen. Hell yeah.
I was born in 02 but I remember playing this dics on my dads old ass Macintosh when the internet was out. I was too young to figure out the puzzles 100% but I thought the lemmings were funny lol. Good times
brooo i remember when i was a kid we found an old DOS pc at an off brand goodwill (this was maybe 2010-2012 ish) and my dad put a few old games onto it from some old floppy disks he had from years ago. i dont remember what all there was but the main games i remember were lemmings and wolfenstein 3d. good times, simpler times. i may not be THAT old now at 20 but its nice looking back to when i was 8 and the biggest problems i had going on were how to get these lil green haired dudes out of the cave and finding all the secret nazi treasure rooms 😂
I played this on the school computers in elementary school in the 1990s!! I must've been 10 in 4th grade in 1998.... God!!! Has it been 25 - Almost 26 - years?!?!? How have I gone from; Basketball & Racing games on Sega 32X, to this, to wanting a headset to play freaking Baby Hands VR on?!?!? Either I'm wackbards, or my "PaReNtS" *_REALLY_* need to pay for how miserable they made me over the years!!!
This was the first home computer game I really enjoyed. My jaw was on the floor last summer when I saw this and all the parts on Steam Deck, blew my mind knowing I can finally play the whole thing now.
Of course the new ones have more quality, but this is the most fun ive ever had. This lemmings and the incredible machine on the ms-dos were some of the best games i ever played.
@@Tealen Did you ever play a game where 2 gorillas were standing on buildings on opposite sides of the screen and they had to throw bananas at each other? You'd have to enter an angle and velocity to throw the banana to hit the other player. I can't remember what it was called and now I'm wondering if it's something my dad created. It was in dos.
One of my vivid memories of a video game, despite having a couple games of my own, was watching and playing this game in the living room of my friend after school. That means nothing to anybody. And yet it means somehow more.
My wife, who has never played the game just started humming this song....and this 30 year old video game popped into my head first thing. Such a great game....
