Hi Jenny, I just wanted to say that this video is sooo relatable. I have been struggling with the anxiety that comes with being pulled in different directions and not being able to compartmentalise, I love the idea of taking a few months to give myself permission to do just one thing! Hopefully I can implement a calmer routing for myself too :) this video is the inspiration I needed this week

The "month cycles" make so much sense, because you allow yourself to focus on one thing at the time. Very freeing. Also, it increases the chance to get into a flow state

As a mum to a 10 week old babe and a 3 year old, I am so envious of the options you have currently to sleep when you want, to have alone time….I know I’ll get them someday and I adore my little family to bits but boy do I miss sleep and solitude. Mmmmm those are utter luxuries and I can’t wait to enjoy them again some day….! All the best!

I'm about to be 36 and I still don't want kids, having kids scares me but my husband wants one to have a second chance at fatherhood, but at this age I'm like what's the point we be tired more because we are older now, he's 45. It's definitely a double-edged sword for me.

Sleep cycle - great question. For almost 15 years now, I have been waking up 98 % of my mornings without an alarm. I have noticed that my sleep changes with the season. In summertime I go to bed at around 11 pm and I wake up at around 7. In wintertime I get tired around 8 pm and wakes up at around 6 am. I live in Denmark, so the winter is quite dark, and the summer nights are very bright and lovely.

Always been an introvert, having one whole day completely for myself in a week is paramount for my mental health. I've always loved the idea of living communally, but I really can't, I'm too highly aware of other peoples needs so I disregard my own when I'm with others. Really found this out when I had a resque cat for 4months. It was hell, my mental health spiraled hard. The cat was fine, but I just can't live with another being constantly in my space. Maybe a snake, as they don't need interaction, but cats are very social creatures! The one I had was "timid, lazy and doesn't play", well I'm sort of "by the book" person when it comes to new things so I researched cat behaviour and made sure to stick to a routine with feedings and I started playing with her, which meant I just played with the toy by myself for around 15minutes twice every day, while she hid under the bed for the first three days. First it was a paw, then finally she emerged completely to chase the toy. So, she did play, she was very social and affectionate, no one had just ever given been patient enough to let her feel safe first. But I realised that the problem was me, our relationship got better but my mental health declined and I knew it was because I had no space just for myself. So I made sure to find her a good forever home. Everyone's different but I've always felt most like myself when I'm alone, even as a little kid.

Hello. Craving time for just yourself it is so normal. I do like to spend time with myself and the same happens with my partner. I didn’t realise before because I used to worked shifts and have my days off during the week days and my partner was having normal office Monday to Friday. So we used to get our free time. Now we are both working office hours and only two days in the office, the rest at homes. So we passed so much time together and we really need our time alone. Time for yourself it is soooo normal. Embrace it! 😘

so I got a puppy in August so this autumn is mostly about survival for me honestly... I knew puppy-life would be tough but I don't think I was prepared for being so stressed about loosing routines. I need to really work on myself and being fine with not being perfect all the time. story of my life <3 would love a collab video with david about autumn books and movies!

Dear Jenny, would you ever consider doing a video on loneliness in adulthood, building friendships as an adult moving abroad and how you found "your people", or just started feeling comfortable in your own skin as someone who chooses to live a more unusual path? I would be really interested in hearing about your experience and how you dealt with this topic. I am a 20-year-old introverted and sensitive girl who loves books, meaningful experiences, and friendships, but I think it is hard to find like-minded people. Would love to hear about your experience. :) Sending lots of love to you and David <3

Thank you for sharing your fall reset plans. Have always enjoyed long walks but as I get older the Texas summer heat and humidity have been overwhelming. My reset is to take full advantage of the cooler weather for outdoor activities. At the same time to try out different indoor fitness programs so that when summer comes I have a plan to stay active.

Oh girl, I'm like you - I like working on one big project for a few months at a time. As a freelance editor / proofreader, it's not always possible, but I'm so happy when it happens. This year has been very chaotic for me in a sense that I've been away a lot. And then it takes time for me to get back into my groove and my routines. I feel like you were talking directly to me in this video :) Less stress, fewer distractions. I live alone and my kitty cat is my natural alarm clock, but I'd also love to do afternoon walks to just get out of the house before we get snowed in here in Nova Scotia. :)

I really don't like that here in Germany the vegan restaurants somehow start to just have 'vegan alternatives' on their menus. So plenty of meat substitutes which I absolutely hate (have not been eating meat for 26 years) and almost everything wih some sort of vegan cheese (which most I also don't like because they taste like this fake cheese you put on burgers). Why not just make something great with veggies, legumes etc?

Hi Jenny, I have a few explosive no-go combos I avoid to not make things worse: little sleep & alcohol for example. Actually, alcohol in general😅I startet to prepare sleep duration a week ahead of a stressfull phase. In autumn and winter time I am in for a nappucchino (coffee, fall asleep within 10mins, nap for 20mins). I try to do healthy habits (running, yoga) with other people friends/family members - because I am human and I am lazy, but I am loyal😅

Minimising task switching is a great great tip for people with multiple commitments. I work full time (work I love) and also have a creative project which is almost another full time job (which I also love). Recently I started working in chunks and switching only once per day (I cant quite do months switches but it still helps).

Same old same old, imprisoning refugees and deporting them to their deaths. Punishing survival in the name of humanitarian cause. The Germanic people are rich on the outside but poor within. Don't steal from the impoverished. These are the colonizers of black and Asian people, pay your dues rather than punish survival

I love your anti-hauls !! They always make me stop and let me ask myself : okay, what do i really need ? What am i thinking about since a long time ? This Fall i already invested in a long, brown faux-fur coat, as i only had one black winter coat since 3 years… i also search for a long pin-striped coat (eventho it is not trendy right now i long for it since months) and i would love to add a cool fringe-bag as i think it can bring some fun into the dark fall/winter time. 💘
