@@teresahuckabee6879 thank you it was so much fun building. I’m thinking of doing a bigger one now that can haul my side by side and also have living space.
@@KenjiHeuving-j7i for the cargo net? They were already installed. If you are talking about the paddle holder it came with them. Link on my description
I am in the process of a similar build. My concern is the side walls were not originally designed to have walls built on top and to travel at highway speed. Did you add any additional anchors that run from the roof to the frame and how has it held up after traveling with it?
@@928RENTALS so what I did was remove the roof. Run 2x4s in a box and one down the middle. Bolted that on to 4 vertical 2x4s that replaced the 4 metal roof raisers. Also used angle aluminum on the 4 outside corners. The sides are made of 3/4” plywood. It’s much stronger than a regular camper. It holds up on the freeway awesome! It does not sway or get blown in the wind. Drag is minimal since my tow vehicle is a tall Tahoe. I’ve towed it up to 85mph no problem. I usually take it slow at 65mph for for Econ. Which is about 18mpg for me with v8
@@BIKESnSKILLETS looked it up. “It's not illegal unless you are trying to scam someone into buying a car at an increased price, but to make it convincing would require an awful lot of work, anyway.”
From junk to a Gem ! New popups have gone through the roof in price. I think people are begining to see the light, why buy new, just rebuild the old. I like seeing people who have more brains than money wasted. Some people may laugh at cha in the campgrounds, but the laugh will be on them, with their multi-thousand dollar campers, all flash, still making payments. Plus you can still make changes as you go. That little trailer is freaking AWESOME !
@Jeep-Creep it literally left me stranded in Indiana when I'm from Arizona... nobody backs it! Advanced said its used... and innova just says oh here's a list of vehicles that aren't covered and it doesn't tell you nothing . But the rep said NONE OF THEIR SCAN TOOLS WILL DO GMC ENVOYS or TRAILBLAZERS AND A WHOLE LOT OF OTHERS! I work on trailblazers and envoys pretty much daily!!!!!
@@lancerecht621 Oh man I am sorry to hear that left you high and dry probably in BFE Indiana. I will keep that in mind it doesn't like GMC Envoys and TrailBlazers... Hopefully I dont run into this with my Tahoe.
@@m3anmug yeah hearing this issue from you I am going to try to stay away from using a SD card. Maybe just stick with my portable HDD and cloud storage and swap as needed
Wow this is sick man. How is it with highway speeds? because it is a little taller than most small campers and not as aerodynamic. Also how is it on light off-roading? just gravel and such.
@@Golly_Mr.G tows straight and like butter on freeway. I’ve pulled up to 80mph and in crosswinds. Yes it’s taller but I tow with a Tahoe which I’m sure helps. Light off-roading is easy nothing to crazy. It’s tall enough to clear my cinderblock.
Wow thanks for the response. I appreciate you getting back to me! I love what you did in this video and I'm now a subscriber. Don't give up and keep making content love ya bro! @@Jeep-Creep
@@michaelgreene5703 yeah I tend to get a bit relaxed when I speak and use improper grammar at times. Please Subscribe. I do have another Higgins Lake video as well on my channel. Look under my playlists and select adventures
I just got this bookbag for school( im in highschool ) and i got the smallest one and its still pretty big but i do love it except i wish it was smaller
I just got one of these still in the crate. Assembly went okay. Battery was dead but started with choke using kick starter. The problem you mentioned others reporting, Sean, that the carb wasn't right, is what I'm experiencing with my new purchase. It will run with the choke on, it will run at elevated RPMs without the choke, but it won't idle. The SCARY thing I wanted to ask you about is, when keeping running without choke using a bit of throttle, I observed the smoke from the paint burning off/vaporizing from the exhaust pipe, but the exhaust pipe got SO HOT it started to melt the spark plug wire. And this happening under NO LOAD. I'm so discouraged. This is the first new motor vehicle I've ever bought and I had hoped.... Is there a good solution to the carb problem?
