Ger, it's that south west route towards Portugal. Compared to the roads on the Madrid route there's hardly a car anywhere. The roads were awful though. XX
Yes, but in the small print if you have a UK address and only travel between UK ports a phone driving licence is acceptable. www.stenaline.co.uk/customer-service/pre-travel/what-identification-documents-do-i-need-to-travel
That's very helpful, Stephen! It can be a bit daunting finding your way around an airport when you only go once in a blue moon. I can't believe they charge for pick up and drop off!
Might sound random but I recently passed my driving test and find your videos really helpful for visualizing how to navigate the local area. Keep em coming if you can.
Congratulations on passing your test! Hopefully it'll help you to get out and about on adventures. Been through a dry patch recently with car troubles, bereavement, house moves, etc, but hope to be back on the road within a few weeks. Many thanks for watching. Take care
I visited the IOM recently and was quite taken by it. Thank you for uploading this video. I am a bit of a car enthusiast and note that at 18:18 there is a car I couldn't identify. It looks like an HA Viva but I believe it's more of an Italian Farina job. Anyhow, thanks again.
@@seasider101 Thank you for the reply of course. I know I have read before that Ireland has a lot of rain though so too. Even where I am in Britain it rains sometimes of course so then too, like anywhere at times I guess. Take care too.
Sorry to hear about that... this is why I do these videos. I couldn't get to the places I loved and wished to see them again... thank goodness for sharing on the internet. Take care.
The way back through the Bay of Biscay was awful. Yep, the music is from the RU-vid library. Some kind musicians and composers let their music out for free XX
We didn't get the sun to see the white front gleam and couldn't film inside as it's a burial ground, but got enough pics to give people a taste of the site. Navan is beautiful too X
Your postings are greatly appreciated. If you're in Newcastle again, could you possibly drive slowly around the Tullybrannigan district and head up to Bonnys' Caravan Park? Thank you, and regards from Germany.
Can I ask. See at the toll station you went up to a man at the window, Can I pay with contactless? or need to be cash? also are the guys at the window there at night time?
www.tii.ie/roads-tolling/tolling-information/pay-a-toll/ This is the Irish road toll site. I don't think contactless is available, but you can drive through the straight through lane, they'll clock your registration and you can pay later that day/night. I personally go to the booth operator for change from a euro note. I hope the link helps out. Drive safe. Happy New Year!
