We only have to worry about 6-7 classes a year. One year is algebra, English, Spanish, Biology, World History and Music. Another year is Geometry, Physical Science, Music, English, Spanish and U.S. History and PE. You have a lot of different things to juggle.
It is really interesting how your school year is longer than in the U.S. but you don’t seem to read as many books in English class. We have 4 years of high school until 18 or just before. We have to take English all four years daily. Lang and lit combined. So vocabulary, research papers, there was an anthology of literature where we would have read Beowulf and Canterbury Tales but then also required to read one Shakespeare play and three other books like Pride and Prejudice, etc.. And something over the summer. Didn’t have all those study guides though. If there was a movie we might also watch it after reading the book, before the test. Then tested on content from both. I went to a high school run from nuns from Ireland who came to the U.S.. Actually they opened schools in England, Ireland, U.S., NZ, Australia Our grammar schools end at age 13. Then a bunch of them feed into the local high schools. My son usually has 4 books each year and some other reading and test taking practice. For the SAT/ACT. They make them take them multiple times. 2020 was a crazy year. Are those CGP textbooks the teachers use or study guides?
Hello,i am from Bangladesh and recently made a decisssion taking bmat exam but i am confused about which books i need to read ..please mention your social media link so that i can talk with you...

Don’t be scared! I loved year 10! It was actually one of my favourite years as there wasn’t too much pressure and my whole year group got to mix! Enjoy it :)
I would say make sure you revise as you go along. Keep on top of note making and condense it as much as you can! Try blurting too- so make mindmaps and read those until you feel like you know it all and then write everything down on another piece of paper by memory and if you miss anything add it in with another colour as using colours means you can associate the colour with the knowledge you aren’t as sure on. Making those links means it is easier to remember :)
Quick question how do you know what to revise do you have like a guide where all topics of the test are or do you just right notes based on what you do in school
Damnnn you really worked that hard for nothing:( I’m in year 9 currently everyone tells me not to stress about GCSE as it’s far from not but I like to have a head start
this is really good:) are you allowed to read your speech, and look up and down like you are? I haven’t even started mine, I hate doing speeches it gives me so much anxiety, I’ve got mine over zoom on Thursday!!😂😩xx
Thank you! I did this video a long time after my speech so I was reading it as I couldn’t remember it all. However in the actual speech you get cue cards which you can use and you are allowed to look up and down occasionally. Good luck xx
Hey you probs won’t see this because You posted this so long ago but I’m currently in tbe process of writing my speech for this exam and I found this so helpful but what type of questions did you get asked like if you could give me an example that would be great because I have to record my self doing it at home and need to get my sister to ask questions so she needs to know a rough idea of what to ask so if you could give me some examples that would be great x
I’m glad you found it helpful! It was so long ago I’m not completely sure what questions I got asked. I’m sorry about that. I think get your sister to ask you questions based on your topic and ask where you found your research. It’s more the performance to worry about not the questions.
I’m doing my speech soon and I wanted to know the types of questions you get asked after you have finished as I am worried that I won’t know what to say??
Can you donate me your English books + revision notes for sciences please 🥺 I’ll be super thankful as I don’t have enough money to buy any of the stuff 🙏☺️
