Yes, helpful. I take it the same principle is applied to ascenders? Then my mind asks, is there a principle to fall back on for the overall shape of the word to make it into a pleasing whole, and still have it be consistent with the pattern you are using for your quote/sign? This is the first time I have seen this explanation. A bouncing baseline works nicely on signs--I think people are drawn to the informality of it. I can see why it sells easily. I am also glad to see your listing of the pens you use.

Hi!! So I was just wondering… I purchased all of your books (small and large tips) legit all of them lol. Should I purchase your pen set? Or can I use the Tombow dual tips, and the fudenosuke brushes I already have?

Your reverse oval is also how I make my lower case "s". Oh!! The upper case "B" in your word "Brush" on your practice sheets is SO PRETTY! I've never seen one like that before Kelli. Very nice!
Boy you sure like expensive brush pens !! I wish I could afford the Kuretake or Sakurz. They look like great brush pens. I'll have to stock to my old Tombows. I love your bouncy lesson.

I have binge watched about 7 videos so far 🎉 I noticed that you haven’t posted in 2 years, while I hope you are doing wonderful, I sure hope you will return to RU-vid as they are so helpful and I’ve seen & watched many people try to demonstrate calligraphy and you are by far the BEST I’ve found! Ironic as heck. I just got my new water brushes. Not yours Kelly but they are so fun. I've been playing around with them all day. HELL my lettering looks better with the brushes than with my brush pens. I used water color paper. It's so fun to blend with them. The colors of yours look deeper. I'll have to get some next payday😊
