What makes me laugh is that they are celebrating victory in a battle in 1690 where William of Orange had elite Danish and Dutch Blue Guards Infantry. William did not trust the local Scottish and British troops as he thought they were unreliable. The Dutch Blue Guards led Williams infantry across the river at Oldbridge and were attacked by James French calvary, All but the Dutch Blue Guards were scattered by the calvary, the Blue Guards formed up in squares and used precision volley fire to drive off James cavalry that's what won the day for William. It was the Dutch Blue Guards that won the day not them. Some the Orange lodge skilfully omits from their history of the battle. Plus what makes me REALLY laugh is that William had the blessing of the Catholic Church as the Pope wanted to curb the power of Louis XIV of France. France was getting too big for its boots and was upsetting the apple cart in Europe. Nobody outside of Ireland knows much about the battle, but it had a major effect on politics in Europe. More people know about the battle of Beachy Head (the day before 10th July 1690) where the French Marine Nationale destroyed a combined Royal Navy and Dutch fleet in short order.

Culture shouldn't be the Two fingers up to the Irish People on their own Island. These Parades are simply to celebrate the destruction of the Irish People and Country . I find it repulsive myself.
They have been abandoned by the UK,they have a culture of drums and flags.its not justthat the UK is not interested it's just they don't care about these people and their unswerving loyalty, they the(uk) see them as irish orange green whatever.
