It's a fact that Indian Officers are poor in man management and teamwork, especially senior management level officers. They think a leader is someone who just gives orders and gets them done by or before time to impress suptds.

I have 64% in pcm class 12th I am elgible for dns in some companies like synergy, maersk.. Etc. I am planning to get sponsorship from these companies and complete cadetship and join as 3rd officer. After that can i change my shipping company to anglo eastern , torm,scorpio..etc whose criteria is 65% or 70% in pcm class 12th.Does dns elgibility criteria also applicable for changing the company during service?

U guys only talking about officers,what about the crew,u officer always harassing the crew, always disrespect them, don't talk politely, i already faced lots of problem by officers .that's the reason i quit shipping industry.

Very nice videos...and very fast time line from cadet to Master. It's tough to get to the top fast...I know...I did it in 7 years Joined as cadet in 2000 and got my Command in 2007. Funny I too sailed on a Thames...MOL THAMES Fastest Container ship in the year 2001😊
My son was first time engine cadet was sacked from Maersk false allegations of alcohol consumption cadet does not know where alcohol has come even grievance redressal mechanism failed
Agree with you sir on my ship second officer was a hell. He used to harass cadet, third officer and crew. More shocking he was habitual of licking of master and he also doesn't used to say anything to him.
Sir, I am surrounded by the teacher's fraternity at shore and am well versed with the teaching methods. I work onboard and find 1 thing as the most is that the method of shame teaching is still a very practiced thing onboard. There are no teaching resources used and an officer is trying to teach a cadet. It is like trying to put a flat pin charger in a round pin socket.
