Small detail but important for me: is it possible to dim/switch off all the lights in front panel? I will have this amp under tv so I don't want any distraction.
Hi. Congratulations this beauty. It looks stunning. I have one of these too. But mine the stacking spindle doesn't work on the second record. The fisrt record plays until the end but when the second record supposed to be played automatically the tonearm stops and the platter stops spinning. Do you know how to fix that? Thanks for your video.
Era un muchacho de 17 años cuando escuche por primera vez a Mark Bolan y ahora en el otoño de mi vida , escucho su música para inyectar energía a mi cuerpo y mente .
I lived in the (Yorkville) village at the same time that Willie was emerging . That would be in approximately 1969. I was a (senior) student studying Photography and dove right into the 'movement'. Went to all the festivals jazz, folk, blues, festivals....it was the best of times.
Hi Mario, it was quite interesting your video! Im getting a pair of KEF ls50 too, and like everybody I am a little concerned about the power that 1120 has to move them properly. I read you said its only flaw is the sound pressure it delivers....so I have an Emotiva TA100 amp class AB, its not a high end amp but its quite good for its price, has 50 w at 8ohms and 90 w at 4 omg and a pretty good gain with Monitor Audio bronze 500 towers (I still own). I'm thinking in maybe using the 1120 as a preamp...what do you think? or should I need a more high end amp to do that.
Hi, in my humble opinion the 1120 has its strong point in the preamp. That said, it doesn't look bad even in power, its 60 watts into 8 ohms are more than enough to drive even the kef LS50 Meta, despite being low efficiency. In conclusion, if you use it only as a preamp you will surely have the possibility to connect all kinds of power amplifiers to it.
@@babagoexp Thank you for your response! Using it as preamp , room correction and all the interface is still posible to use? The volume woul be controled by the amp or the 1120? Thanks a lot
@@babagoexpso I finally have TDAI-1120. Paired with KEF R3 Meta. Was worried by not enough power until at one occasion I nearly blew up half a building by accidentally cranking up the volume. Thought you would like to know, you can actually switch off or dim all the lights in front panel (except Lyngdorf logo). This can be done in web app settings under “General setup” section, then scroll to “Display settings”. Amazing device btw. Driving my not so easy to drive metas like a chump.
Hi, after nine months of daily use, paired with Roon, Spotify, Air Play and also the turntable via the phono input, I can say that I have a complete and well-sounding machine.
@james wandiba Hello. In this room I have tried dozens and dozens of hifi sets. I played my analogue and digital music via computer, turntable, cd player, in short, I played everything. In the past I had listened to various chinoiseries and low budget products of little audiophile interest, but I also owned a good Goldenote dac, the DAC 7 and kept it for almost 10 years with great satisfaction. In 2020 I decided to take the big step towards digital sound but without leaving the past behind and I opted for the purchase of the Lyngdorf TDA 1120 which also has a basic phono and an analog rca input, what more could you want in one device? This integrated is truly amazing in terms of sound and performance also because it gives you the possibility to connect a subwoofer or a tube or solid state power amp as you like, making it work only as a preamp. As I said before it is a high performance integrated also used alone because it delivers a power of over 50 watts into 8 ohms. The tone of this Lyngdorf is fantastic and paired with the Kef LS50 Meta it is truly amazing. The only flaw is the sound pressures obtained which are not extraordinary, you do not have a devastating sound but with the poor efficiency of the Kefs you can have, at adequate volumes, really a more than satisfactory sound magic that will not make you regret analog hifi sets high-end. In other words, this set is more than decent with the possibility of upgrading it even with good quality power amplifiers.
@@AlessandroFilippiUX Già come integrato funziona alla grande. E' un'opzione di usarlo come pre. Come all in one, qualità prezzo, è uno dei miglior apparecchi in circolazione. Saluti
@@AlessandroFilippiUX I’ve been looking for an alternative and the next closest thing is the Minidsp SHD, but it’s much more hands on with DIRAC whereas RoomPerfect pretty much takes care of everything for you. It seems to be the most pleasing room correction around for most people and is incredibly easy to setup. It would be great if they just offered a nice preamp with these features because I don’t really want to give up using my Purifi amplifier. If you use this as a preamplifier, you lose out on the subwoofer outs. The nice thing is that as an integrated, you can add subs to something like the LS50 and cut them off much higher (which should make them more efficient).
@@babagoexp I drive Canton Eego 1200.dc (monsters speakers) with It, and deliver 120 watt un 4 ohmi, and it sounds extraordinary. It must say that this amp deliver 30 A! ,so it can drive almost in the market
Thanks for the upload! The concert in Cesena was really a special one. (I wasn't there, but I have a recording.) I recommend listening to 'Rusty and blue' from the same concert. In this recording, Raymond plays the coolest piano solo I've ever heard.
Quote: '1998, the year in which the band was formed.' The band was formed _before_ 1998. They already had gigs in 1997, e.g. in CA. Their first live album 'Live At Cuesta College' was recorded on January 18, 1997.
@@babagoexp I didn't look it up on wikipedia. It is also mentioned on the inlay of the said CD. I really love this band cause their music goes straight to my heart and their voices caress my soul. So I spent a lot of time dealing intensively with everything I could find about it on the Internet. Through my research, I also found some very nice recordings of their first concerts.
