I believe that is right with a capacity of 5 shells although it was a friend's gun and this was a long time ago I don't really remember!! Sorry I am just getting back to your comment!! Thanks for watching!!!

I prefer to filet and then debone them. I can do it in about the same time it takes to do what you're doing. I hate fish bones, and there's very little waste the way I do it.
Yeah that is another way I have done it! I prefer now to cook them hole then separate the fillet from the back bone. Most the time it removes all the bones also. I think I will do a video showing how I do this. Thanks for watching and commenting it is much appreciated!!!
@@MrSecuritycontractor when you say your cooking method removes all.of.the bones afterward are you talking about the pin bones as well? I have cooked them several ways where you can pull the spine and ribs out after the fact, but those nasty pin bones are a different story. We typically broil all our trout so it's not like frying which might melt away some smaller bones,.or so I've been told.
@@tonylwright I don't want to say in all cases when I remove the back bone after frying I get all the pin bones but a lot of times I don;t have any problems with them. Not sure if they are dissolved during the cooking process of what but it seems to work out. I do occasionally find them in the fillet so I don't want to make it out like it is the perfect method!! Thanks!
Thanks brother! Yes both strong people that are tired of the lies and controls being forced upon us!! They are sharing the sediment of most people in our county! Thanks for the comment!
@@MrSecuritycontractor Anytime my friend. Thank you for the inspiration. I'm interested in finding a company that would sponsor an SF-84 for better opportunities. Is there a way I can PM you for more specific questions on this topic? Thanks again and stay well.
Sorry for the late reply!!! I don't remove scale on trout because the scales are so small they have never been a issue. It would not hurt to remove them with a knife but I never have! Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
I have never tried it on other fish so one would have to try it! I will try next time I catch something other than trout! Great question!! Thanks for watching!!!
Not a noob question it is a good one! I have only ever used this method on trout, steelhead and salmon! Bass I fillet same with crappie and catfish. It is worth a try on other species!
Thank you for watching and commenting on my video!!! I hope you catch a bunch of fish and can try this method!!! It makes cleaning a bunch of fish really easy!!! Good luck!!!! Marty
Thanks ok I did this video to help people!! I am going to make.a.video for you about how I deal with the bones!!! I will shoot it this coming week and try to upload it the following week!!! Not sure if you have subbed but check back then for the video!!! It is super simple way of getting the bones out!!! Thanks, marty!
Much easier to just reach up inside the gills, break them at the jaw connection point, and rip down from there. Also, why do you use a knife to pierce the blood vein when your thumbnail would do the trick?
Thanks for the comment! I have always cut the jaw to remove the gills/gut. I will try it the way you explained sounds more simple! I cut the "Blood Vein" because it is faster and easier I have found to remove it! Just the way I do!
This is the method I was taught in Ruidoso NM. It retains a majority of the meat and it beats these filet hack jobs guys do here in South Texas. I was cleaning sand trout in this manner and everyone in the pier was looking and asking what the heck are you doing. Great reference and refresher course!
Thanks for the great story! I have also been doing it this way for a long time! I love this method! Glad you like it and it brought back some memories of good time! Thanks for watching!
Thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed it! Some people though don't have much of a sense of humor and don't understand the personalities of the people that do this kind of work!!! Thanks for watching and leaving your comment!!!! Marty
Those are great ideas!!! Never would have thought of the Denture tabs!!! Th hangers are a good one also!!!! I guess there is always another way of doing things!!! Thanks for watching!!!!
I have same model..i saw in the video you put wooden rod to limit number of rounds in the tube to 2 only, but shooing all 4 at the range )))) you took the rod out, right?
Yes I think you are right! It has been a long time since I made this video and don't remember exactly. The shotgun was a friends and I do recall he had a wooden dowel in the magazine as a limiter for hunting!!! I hope that answers your question ok!!!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Agreed on the ice chest. So many times I see people keep fish and put them on a stringer or in a bucket of warm water. Spoils the fish and turns it to mush
Yes I have made thi mistake a few times! It gets over 100 degrees here in the summer so they spoil fast if ice is not used!! Thanks for the comment!!!!
That was funny! In your face liberal snow flake meltie cry babies, this is what you look and act like. Your absolutely clueless and, your all parrots simply repeating what you hear, WITHOUT seeking if it's truth. Your Weak and Mindless... Glad I know this RU-vid creator! He stands with President Trump.
I,,, was,,,???? LOL! I will take credit for this method!!! Who knows probably a commercial fishermen!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!! Do you like the method???
This was my method for years, until I caught a hook through my finger that was inside the fish’s mouth from a previous line he must have broke. Tetanus shot and a couple stitches changed my method.
That sucks!!!! luckily I have not had that experience yet!!! What is your new method for cleaning???? I would love to know!! Thanks for the comment and watching!!
