This problem would have been solved if there was re-seeding for all 16 NBA teams in the postseason. None of this "East vs West" Finals. It should be the 8 teams in the East and the 8 teams in the West, all facing each other in the postseason, with 1 to 16 seeds, and with each postseason series being a 2-3-2 format, and with re-seeding each round.
The Pistons and Nets gave the Spurs a tough time in those 2 Finals. I honestly picked the Nets to beat the Spurs, but yeah. But yeah, those 4 Finals with the Spurs in 1999-2003-2005-2007 were perhaps the most "boring" Finals and least exciting-hype Finals to watch. Either they were low scoring, or the series ended in a quick 4-5 games, or just no one cared for them. In 1999, even though the Knicks made the Finals in 1999, that was a 50-game-season, and no Patrick Ewing due to injury, and the first season in NBA without Jordan. Surprisingly, when the Spurs made the Finals in back-to-back seasons in 2013-2014, both times against the LeBron Heat, those Spurs teams were considered very very fun to watch.
Are you serious? Boxing has like 5 times as many fighters fighting professionally. As long as there’s talent constantly coming through which there is boxing will never die. You’re delusional is you actually believe this. Boxing will always be more popular than MMA with fighters and fans and im a fan of both.

Last weekend AJ fought and the same night there was an instant classic war with Valdez/Navarette. Usyk fighting in a couple of weeks and then another big business fight Canelo/Charlo. Prospects who could become future stars like Boots, Shakur, Jared Anderson, Vergil Ortiz, Zayas etc. The UFC HW champ abandoning his belt and running off to boxing, RU-vidrs beatign up MMA fighters in boxing matches etc. I would hardly say boxing is "hanging on barely"

Joe was absolutely wrong about no new names in boxing 🥊! He was right about UFC having a much wider range and spectrum of skills necessary to compete however. Both sides were correct . I still prefer boxing as a spectator over the more brutal and dangerous cage fighting . The UFC fighters are the ultimate warriors and the most well versed by far but boxing is more palatable.
