In order for it to seal on the outside it would need to be flat at least in the immediate area where the hole is. That means all of the raised areas would need to be sanded off and down flat. It is nice to know about the heating helping.

You lucked out that the oil filter was that loose. I know that there is no reason to reef on an oil filter when putting it on, but the oil filters on all of my equipment seem to need a bit of coaxing with a wrench of some kind. Cheers!

Why are these new springs r being installed upside down compared to the ones that came out ? The flat end is up on old ones, but down on new ones
@uggaduggabois

Could be the different brand of springs. As the springs where installed in the correct orientation according to the box.

When unscrewing the oil filter, in addition to wearing latex gloves, i like to use a shop towel to wrap around the filter while loosening it. Helps to avoid spilling dirty oil on my arm.

Have bought 4 of these starters and had abysmal life from them. After a few dozen starts, the solenoid contacts burned out and I get the dreaded “click” “click” “click” for as long as I want to try cranking it😢 I still have all 4 and have purchased replacement solenoids for them that are supposed to be high quality. Haven’t got any tractors to use them on though. Owners had enough of those type and bought new direct drive Delco in one case $$$$ and a planetary gear reduction type in the other. It has been a few years so hope you have better success.

Hi, I have a similar tractor with a starting problem. Can you tell me the kind the issue I would have if this part is bad? What exactly does this relay do? When I try to start my 3020 I mainly get clicking which I assume is a solenoid issue. What issue(s) were you experiencing that led to replacing this part and eventually the starter?
@uggaduggabois
@uggaduggabois 10 месяцев назад
We also,at times had a clicking sound. Other times the starter would not turn over fast enough to start the tractor in cold weather. I would advise first check to make sure your batteries are good along with your main battery lines and that you have a good ground. We we replaced the relay in we didn't noticed a change which lead to us changing the battery cabels and finally the starter. The new starter we put on also is rated to spin fast and now she starts almost instantly no matter the temperature.

Days ago, I changed the two flex pipes on my car. For the clearance limit, I need to take down the section down, cut them, put them back with bolts on, tag them firmly, take them down again, weld them all around, and finally put them back. Take me almost a day to finish. You are lucky to have space large enough for you to weld around.

I've been told that since 0w20 pumps better in cold temps and is less viscous than 5w30, it's preferable for Toyotas, especially ones with more engine wear.
@MegusLI
@MegusLI Месяц назад
@@mickmockedmackJust wanted to share my findings… Yes 0w20 pumps better and is more viscous, but this engine was engineered to run off of 5w30, which is why most people elect to use that. Toyota switched this to 0w20 to improve gas mileage. Usually with more engine wear you will want a thicker oil to make up for the tolerances lost by wear and tear.
