This lasted only one series as it was immediately considered too dated with Glam Rock coming in, and, in my opinion, it already looked 1967, but still entertaining. Roger was talented and avuncular (despite the seventies serial killer glasses) but it's not surprising this didn't last, as it was pretty dated for '71. Saying that, Val Doonican still had shows in the eighties 😅

Touching on what the interviewer is saying at 14:00 I think that people here in the U.S. (in the 21st century, at least) often confuse racism with classism. People living in a rundown trailer park are white, black, hispanic and they're all in the same boat. The ruling class doesn't care about any of them. Also, no one should have ever tried to rebut Frank. You're always in check-mate.
Makes me think about 19:08 Micheal Jackson when i see this Savile show with these kids.Jackson always liked being with kids and he got allegations made against him.Im sure he was a wrong un aswell
People today describe jimmy Saviles behaviour as an open secret, whatever that means. People in showbiz say they knew what Savile was really like. Why did so many top stars agree to appear on Jim ll Fix It? If they knew what was going on, behind the scenes, surly they could have refused?
