Very nice Sir, Sir, Can we make prequalified WPS without backing as per AWS D1.1 for tubular connection. If we have prequalified WPS with backing , does it allowed to weld tubular section < 24" without backing
Thanks for your query. PLease refer to the table of prequalified WPS (with all essential variables allowed for their range thickness etc. If it is not there, you have run a PQR . If I need to answer, I will also refer to that table only.
