There is a problem with the units on the Bushing Worksheet. As the version 2024R2 I am working now does NOT let you add 'per unit θx' etc if you have degrees instead of rads, you have to change units to rads and add there instead of 15000, 8.5944e+005. I dont know why i cant put data there while in degrees, if there is an option in ansys config etc...

The fact I cannot see the build-up of the model, such as the sketches making up the extrusions etc. drives me a bit mad to be honest 😅 Or am I just missing it?
I don't get why the rotating about the axis normal to the screen isn't possible by a shortcut in the keyboard, but I have to drag that circle aruond in the bottom left to do it instead
@@oes2546 I have a pen tab with extra keys, thinking to use it for rotation and pan as my mouse's middle key isn't functioning. And I thought the same.
What's not so intuitive though, is that for some reason I cannot pull anything except the component furthest down in my assembly/component tree... I'm obviously missing something. Let's see if this lesson can sort it out for me... Edit: Seems I have to right click -> active component for modellin. Well, that's fair. It's quite the learning curve going from SW to this though, but I'll get there, slowly but surely. I look forward to the day where AI chatbots can tell me exactly how to achieve anything in any software though, and even do things for me in some cases. That would be true progress. But knowing engineering programs, they'll likely be the last ones to get such features, as user friendliness is DOWN on the prioritization lists. It's users who have already been into the program for 10 years that are emphasized it often feels like.
I dont understand. you keep showing things, saying " we set up, we did this" but you never show HOW you did these. For instance, i dont know how to create a reference coordinate system. all i wanted was to make a simple transient thermal and structural analysis of my rotor. i have the pads and rotor step file assembly, and i dont know what to do
I am a final year Petroleum engineering student using ANSYS for my project to model slug flow/fluid flow through 90 degrees bend pipe (fluent). Please How do I setup wire mesh sensor and electrical capacitance tomography in fluent application ?🙏🏾. I am at my wits end, I have tried everything I know but can't see the effects after simulation. even you have succeded to increase the orth. quality over 0,15, i think you should do the best mesh models and needed things to be a real example. increase the bumber of the processes applied on the parts.
I am honestly not a fan of these AIS stuff. For one, for the same number of minutes, you can present information in a much denser form. Just look at the CAE associates videos from a decade ago (now part of Ansys), for the same number of minutes, they presented so much more information. The amount of information presented in this video could have been summarized in 5 slides and presented in just a few minutes. The 2nd major problem is the presentation style, having this talking head is just so distracting. Like, I honestly don't know what it accomplishes. What if you hide the talking head, and just have someone speak, would that really remove any value from this video? What does adding a talking head really accomplish for people who try to learn?
How can one create multiple point surfaces at one time from a list of coordinate points in excel? I have over 300 monitoring points coordinates and I am looking for a faster way to set them.
