Truly, possibly, the most revolting American food ever produced, which is a huge claim, I know. I can't be bothered to look for the episode. I just have to register my disgust. And in the same meal, steak tartare- I would just leave. I could not cope with those being eaten at my table. I would need a bucket - and nobody"s conversation is worth that. Ambrosia salad is just THE line where Americans have lost the right to eat at the table with the grown ups.
A place in New York called “Rice to Riches” would change a person’s mind about rice pudding. Interesting place with a rich history of accusations about financial shenanigans. Great puddings though. A whole shop in NYC that only sells rice pudding.
Nothing wrong with it really but because it's meant to be your ultimate meal James thinks it's a waste to choose as your perfect pudding, so it annoyed him.
Loved it. I have to live vicariously, because the version of this story where it's an American woman inadvertently revealing her hotel location to thousands of strangers is way darker.
