A Channel Dedicated To Railways & Model Trains Worldwide. Videos will feature both Modern & Classic prototype from our Travels, including Canada, South America, and various Western US locations.
We have built many model railways in different scales over the years, including On30, HO & TT scale. You'll find some old videos featuring those layouts if you like. None of these are in existence today, due to house moves, or change in interests.
My current project is a 7mm O scale railway based on a fictional location in Somerset England, set in the pre-grouping era around 1920. Video updates on this layout under construction will be monthly. (hopefully :)
We'll also post Layout visits from time to time when we get the opportunity to share the work of other modelers.
Hope you enjoy the content, please feel free to comment, ask a question, rate if you like, and subscribe. Thank You
Thank You ! I'm as much an Anglophile as a Francophile LOL 🤣 I've been working on this model railway for about 7 years. It's coming along, slow but steady, enjoying the journey.
They were plastic RTR models that we manufactured back in the 2010s, The line of products (Gold Coast Railway Co.) has since been taken over by a German firm "Lok-N-Roll". They are still available for purchase.
That was really cool! But the best part wasn’t even the trains! It was seeing that railroad crossing malfunctioning at 5:27!This is probably one of the oldest videos of a crossing actual malfunctioning!
Hello sorry for the Hour I just saw that video and I loved it it's my favorite Locomotive what number was that GMD SD40-2W Locomotive will you have that Longer Video? I would like to see it at the beginning m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yBNouB2y-c0.html&pp=ygVOQ04gfiBDYWIgUmlkZSB-IEZyYXNlciAtIFRob21wc29uIENhbnlvbiB-IEJvc3RvbiBCYXIgdG8gU3BlbmNlcyBCcmlkZ2UgfiAjIDEw
What is that little white sign with the two black dots on it to the left of the tracks and just before the bridge? I've been watching a lot of videos of Canadian Pacific and Canadian National in BC and have seen that little sign. Is it related to the bridge? Is it unique to Canada? I've never seen anything like it here in the U.S.
excellent, can I ask, after building this wonderful layout, is there anything you would have tried to change in the way of the space you have, and the design of the layout in reflection two what you already have achieved? thank you in advance
Thanks for the kind words and great question. I've built a few layouts that didn't keep the interest. This one is my first real effort in O, and so far I am very happy with it. It's large yet small enough to build / manage as a "one man band". I would say having the option of continuous running has helped a ton, even with it limiting stock as it's a 48" radius curve. I wish I had incorporated a small loco turntable into the plan for fun, but you can't have everything. The layout is about half finished, the dock is up next. I hope to start posting videos again on a regular bases. Best wishes for 2024, Felix
I never got into model trains but I wonder why radio control hasn’t caught on especially in the larger scales. It seems to me there would be advantages of not having to depend on the rails for power.
I agree, if I was starting over again at the beginning in a larger scale, I would seriously look at radio control. I believe it's catching on in the UK.
Used to drive for a floral greens distributor out of San Antonio Texas whose Oregon distribution warehouse was right there in the shot next to Sherwin Williams! Spent many days there over the years loading and unloading at that wooden dock! Better when the trains passed by!
East bound is up river ( up hill ) empty coal cars and empty oil tankers and empty lumber cars , but still an enormous about of weight .no mid engines and no pushers
Thanks ! My other passion being vintage cars & motor racing (1920s - 70s) I just had to name my garage after Alain 🏁 His Victory by design series are top quality.
@@mytinplaterailway Agree, I enjoy racing right upto around '99. Born in '84 I grew up w/ watching Senna & MSC vs Hakkinen, & ended enjoying the ALMS series & LeMans, upto the Audi R8 era. That was the end for me.
