My name is Evan Davenport. Here I will share the process of some of my many projects in working with my hands. Professionally I am a Luthier (violin maker) but I enjoy the process of craft in nearly every capacity. Watch me grow as a craftsman, and follow me along on this journey.

Hi EW, I'm glad to see you working. I see you only make brescia models, and you're right, they sound like a God, nothing more beautiful, with perfect structure and easy to play. Cheers. Johnny

At 7:09, the neck seems to have been reinforced, maybe with a carbon fiber rod or something. Can you elaborate a bit on that? Is it just the neck, or is there also some short rod going through the heel? Thanks!

@e.w.davenport 17 дней назад
Thank you for watching! And good observation. Indeed. There is an inlaid carbon fiber rod, underneath the maple cap that you see. Adds a lot of strength and stiffness to the neck.

I don't understand if you need to trim that much why not cut it to a smaller size to start with

Thinking the same thing. Guess for effect. He skips over the entire rib building except one quick part, no moulding, yet shows us him planing down the ebony pieces for two minutes.

Astonishing, how after so chaotic scalping of the Top and Back, at the end is so perfect geometrical shape to see.

I came to your channel thinking.. "you know what , I cant afford to buy one,.. so I am going to home depot and make me one .. then I saw you bending the wood by heating it .. then I knew I wouldnt be able to get that type of equipment that easily... lol.. high expectation lol.. i just like making things with my hands I am the type of person who wears what she makes.. i would also like to be the person who plays what they created ( sad face)
