When I started, I selected region-locked, being the most common design for games like this. However, it did not take long to realize that I was leveling far too fast, making the game too easy so I started again in adaptive mode. No regrets yet. Also, apparently the pirate DLC is not scaled for end-game play so just one more reason to go adaptive as I will only buy the DLC if I enjoy the main game and I dont want to face-roll the DLC for lack of any challenge.
@@AJ-to8lb region locked is good if you just starting out with the game, and once you understand the game better adaptive is definately the way to go. I've been playing the game for a long time and it is really fun. The developers continuesly bring out new content😊
@@axefield Muito obrigado pela sua resposta. Eu fiz tudo já, minha cidade está com 200 de esplendor, mas eu não consegui pegar as ervas, estou com 15 monges até o momento. Você sabe o que pode ter acontecido ?
@@jdp.9008 after you placed the herb gardens you have to assign monks manually by selecting the herb garden. They do not automatically start harvesting. If that is not the problem then I am not sure why it doesn't want to work...
I just bought this game a few days ago on ps5 for 17$ this game is awesome! I hope they add more quests, make the environment (cold , heat and rain) more intense or have theability to increase it and then have bandits attack ur town and maybe add a few more towns. you could also have if ur rep goes down you can have small wars. Love the laketown comment below too!
@@therealXaxiOn they said it will still happen within this year, but the crossplay was delayed with about 2 months, so I think best case Dec 2024 and worst case March 2025😊
@@SlowmotionJoe i dont really focus on slaughtering lambs, adult sheep produce more meat. Also keep in mind I am constantly importing lambs. They are cost effective. With that I also have plenty of pig farms and I dont produce sausages. Been running this setup now for awhile and works pretty well👌
@@andrewmuzychko8201 me too, unfortunately the meat production with pigs are really slow, so when your town grows there is no way of keeping up with meat demand, not even mentioning turning it into sausages. I personally feel we need to be able to have pastures for goats and pigs also like we do for the sheep. Imagine how beautiful it would look with all the different farm animals😄
meat is good for early game and additional food types on mid and late game. meat is not meant to overproduce; you can though by using perks, having a rich deposit, and keeping low pop. meat, eggs, sausage, and fish are food types that are good only in early to midgame (150-200 pop) focus on having more food types, not overproducing 1 food type. the more food type, the less they consume other type. apple. berries, veggies, and honey are food types that you can overproduce; bread depends on land fertility, but it can as well.
@@papilop-e3o 100%👌 but this method is for using on any map location, meaning without wild animals or abundance, without using perks or policies ( except for sheep breeding ) and for any population size and giving sustainable meat throught the year😊 I have so much flour and six families assigned at 2 communal ovens without setting up shops and they can't even keep up with the bread😆
I have my main big base here also, now almost T3. I'm finding it kind of hard to respond to things fast enough though. Because I am so far north and my army moves so slow. Don't want to rebuild this big base.....
@@SetUSMC I made a second big base to the south that can respond fast enough to all the southern towns. I housed only the strongest units there. Otherwise it is impossible to fight the brigands off. Here is a link to explain how I did my second base😊: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObaXfWG3T8s.html
The game has a copy plot button, you could have placed those houses in seconds... Not sure what you do wrong, but I've played since EA release and when we got the garden houses, I've had no problems with the tax on max plot houses. Since the update with wealth tax, I don't even bother with plot tax, since I just set a high tax on wealth, to skim off the top money, since they have no way of using that anyway. So everyone get 50+ wealth and I then tax 10 anytime it's over 50. Wealth is not from taxes, it's from selling stuff at the trade house, so taxes is not important anyway. Though with wealth tax you at least don't have the people sit around with 1000+ wealth.
Someone did mention that I can just copy plots😉 you are right about the wealth tax. I usually cap it at a 100 coin, but you can push it really high and that is probably the easiest solution to keep everyone happy and to keep town profitable. Thanks for that!👍
Insane. I only just started and been grinding for a week and I know the pain it took to grind every single one of those resources.. and dont even get me started on what I’d guess your taxes are🤣
I absolutely hate how a company releases a game on old gen consoles but then goes ahead to add a massive and expansive update that everyone gets excited for but they OF COURSE make it ONLY for next gen consoles and PC!
@@ForeverVikingr The developers said the older consoles couldn't handle the new updates and the crossplay. It would have lagged and bugged out big time.
@@michaelmoss_nova_ai I had a very old laptop with integrated graphics card that could run Ostriv. I just couldn't build my town too big then it started giving problems🤣
@@gustavoduarte2797 you have to configure it through their experimental branch. On steam in your library by manor lords they give you step by step guide how to access it😊
In this video I see your lumberjacks running to town all the time. I wonder if they drag the wood to a warehouse and waste a lot of time? 26:23 I think you need two woodcutter stations active. Not just one.
The biggeest issue of starfield is the fact you need a class a license or you gotta destroy a shit load of ships when most the ships are a lot higher lvl so how can you defeat a fleet of like 10 ships when their all better then yours but you have a better ship but you can’t use it because of the damn license
@@axefield really enjoy the series. Thank you :) Manor Lords been a pain to wait for. Might play this game. I also wanted to talk to you about a sponsorship. I guess there’s an email I can reach out to?
@@chrisjames157 100% would love to see all this added. Although, we have bypassed building limit with coding and once you hit round about 250+ buildings the npc become trippy and frame runs at a sweet 8 fps

I won’t believe it till I see the settings that was used during the process of all this. But it looks nice. If the settings was altered, well then much more is possible on this and makes it none-official.

I feel Skyrim did it's leveling system was done best out of any game. It would Retain elements of lower level enemies through out the game. Example Bandits. Basic bandits will never have Glass or Daedric Equipment, BUT, the Exception to this Rule would be the Lieutenants, Mages & WarChiefs. These Guys would scale ands brings the welcome punch to the gut & oh shit moments while not making the game a Complete Grind & allowing for the Power Fantasy to kick in. This would be the Ideal Wartale game for most people I believe. Legendary bosses and their loot that would scale along with some enemies within Encounters so as to keep one on their toes while maintaining a True sense of both Progression & Danger. Heck the game even has Built in systems that mark enemies as 'Elite' these in theory can/could be the Scaling enemies. But these are just my thoughts. Likely to be lost to the Void.. lol.
@@KN_Dingowarrior that would be great to have in Wartales as a third option on how progression works. If I recall correctly, Fable 1 to 3 worked in a similiar way... Throughout the game even going to beginning stages of the game, enemies will pop up that really challenges you and throw you off guard. While they kept only some to remain at low levels 😯
In the video, you were wondering about the ability to manually upgrade buildings. I found the button while playing last night. In the very top-right of the screen, there is a gear for the Options menu. Just to the left of that is a wee icon that looks like a building with a chevron beside it. That's it!!
Super late into playing the game but I’m VERY glad to see that it’s okay if I commit mass deforestation with no consequences (other than the ruined natural habitat of the wild animal’s living within the area) because I sure felt bad when I cut down my first 1000+ logs worth of trees to start a settlement (that I have now abandoned and relocated not far away..) and wasn’t sure if the game would crash or something on me 🤣🤣

What I'd like to understand is why in the world did the devs prohibited harvesting and building in such huge areas around the towns and places of interest in the Oxbow game. I can understand restricting building too close to towns, etc., (In fact The Valley did so without blocking huge areas, but disallowed you building too close to town), but why not allow harvesting the trees or rock faces? In the original Valley game you could harvest trees right up to the town walls. I just find this an odd decision. I set up a village close to Klonica, but there's such a HUGE area around Klonica that is home to the much preferred Maple trees, yet you can't harvest them. At the very least they should let you harvest them, but simply disallow using a shovel on the stumps so they can grow back.
@@Perry_Wolf 100% agreed. I don't understand why you are not even allowed to harvest there. Not being able to build there is one thing, but why limit the logging?
