A channel about wood lore, woodcraft, bushcraft, hiking, camping, and getting outside to appreciate nature wherever you dwell, and anywhere you may roam. Some videos will be without talking--just doing and serenity--others may have words worth sharing.
New videos every two weeks is the goal.
I'd like to encourage you to get outside!
Thank you for your support!

@@diannerowley9358 I think there are more Florida Panthers out there than people realize. I don’t recommend it, but they’re easier to find if you go hiking alone into wilderness areas where people seldom go.
This was a dark night, and about 4 miles into the woods alone…except the rather large and curious alligator who kept staring at me from the water kept me company. I slept well because of this choral cricket surround sound.
Thanks, Tim! I just turned the GoPro on and left it. Not the best production value in my opinion, but it was a fun adventure. The noseeums were no joke lol!!! They crawled through my mosquito netting and swarmed me the first night. I’m investing in some specialized mosquito netting pretty soon.
Well done sir This was a weekend I will always remember and cherish. We all had mini meltdowns while on that island..we saw each other through them . It’s an honor to call you guys my brothers.
Hello. I am Jamshid. I have just started my activity on RU-vid. I live in Iran. Iran is really beautiful, contrary to its politics. I would like to travel to America and use the beauty there as well.
This is a Council Tool Wood-Craft Camp Carver. It is incredibly useful and versatile. When I have this around, I find it even replaces tasks I would use a knife for. Council Tool also sells a straight-handle version, which I believe makes it even more versatile than the curved handle version, which I use. For a hand axe, this is my go-to, although I also use and very much appreciate the 19inch Wood-Craft Pack Axe, which is a bit heftier, and therefore arguably a bit better at processing wood.
I was being stalked by Putin. It came from the trees unexpectedly with a massive bone to pick. I did not know what to do but surrender was not an option. It pummeled me to the ground as though my existence meant nothing to it. Then, it grabbed me and told me I was going to be okay; I did not believe it. It dragged me into a wooded area and pulled my pants down and slid its massive Putin in my sweet breadbasket. I cried for help. A squirrel scurried by and scolded Putin; all Putin did was laugh in amusement. It was a bad day.
I don't mind the bears and pigs so much. The cats always hit me in the "instincts." And there's often more critters out in the wild than people realize, especially in Florida.
It really is! It may not be the best for Florida, but I really like it. And I've slept under it a few times, and (along with another buttoned together) kept me dry in a heavy downpour.
@@floridawoodlore4704 thats awesome! I really like the versatility they have as a poncho and tarp. I have 2 Russian and an East German version. The East German version has 2 arm slots and buttons that make it easy to connect 2 or more together. I keep one rolled up around the strap of my polish bread bag for easy carry.
