The Redux version you played has clearer pathfinding and less confusing mechanics, plus it looks way better. I hope you enjoy the remaining 2! Hey, thanks for passing by! I actually played the original map first. I remember that there was a portal in the blue room at 16:30 that puts you back at the room at 5:54, and in doing so you miss using the blue key at 18:46. Deleting that portal, plus the other changes with the keys, made Redux flow much better! I wonder why you didn't make Redux the default map on the hub, with the original being an "easter egg" of sorts, instead of the other way around. Was it due to performance reasons? Redux is more taxing, but besides that, I think is superior than the original, but many players might miss it. I already played map 2, and I actually liked it more than the first one! Great job with the portals, they were really trippy. I still haven't played map 3, but hopefully I'll do it soon. Thanks for making the wad. Hopefully more people play it, as I think it hasn't received the attention that it deserves. Cheers!
I don't know what has changed now but after the game was released on Steam, the AIs are kind of cheating(same pattern with all difficulties). AIs are creating triple amount of units compared to the number of units a player can create with starting money. I have tested multiple sessions and the same thing has happened. From the beginning AI is sending 4-5 units in a wave, having 10-12 units sitting base and also playing faster than the player and I can assure you AI is doing it with only one supply zone.
That's interesting. I bought the Steam collection but I haven't tried Generals yet, so I can't really say. On which settings do you play? I would like to try it with the same settings if I have the time.
2024 and i still enjoying this amazing game to bring back childhood memories🥹. I just finished this insane mission & i can't belive that cuz its really hard.😂
I really wish the AI knew how to micromanage its units more correctly. Those Apocalypse tanks could've done so much more damage during their assault. Same with the Kirov's and twin blade waves. Great game though, you are a pretty skilled player, your tactics out right beat the brutal difficulty which can alter the course of the battle with one wrong move.
actually, i think that the normal levels are harder (for me). On my first walkthrough, i was trying to get every electoon (i didn’t know that i need only 200 of them, to get all teeth). that means i was trying to complete every secret stage on a level and collect 300 lums min on each level. Secret stages are easy as hell, but collecting 300 lums was a problem for some levels, i mean, on some lvls it’s also easy as hell and by the end of the lvl you getting over 350~400 lums, but on other lvls i was: defeating enemies by kicking ‘em and blowing ‘em then; trying to collect a full chain of lums; trying to collect em as much as i can, while double bonus still continues; trying to collect every deadmen coins and still GET 250~299 LUMS BY THE END OF THE LEVEL. It still not so hard, BUT MOSQUITO LEVELS - THAT SHIT SCARED ME. By the begging it’s not the problem collect every lum, but on the middle of the game is quite hard. So for me - treasure chases and The Land of the Livid Dead was not so hard, because it’s pure fast paced platformer, where you can forget about collecting something and just concentrate on running fast and jumping correctly.
I know I'm late to this video but I wanted to say that I remember me and my 2 brothers kind of having trouble on this part it was mostly because we didn't know what was ahead but eventually we made it😅
Don't perform upgrades on the alied MCV you're litterally killing time deploy a prospector next to your base and perform upgrades on it!!! trust me it's way faster especially since you need the time to build ore refineries and you have for and that guardian tanks are good for first defense but shitty for offence so you need mirages fast
