The first word is actually "hare" like a rabbit which would pounce upon a peak and rhymes with bear from the next line. I know that Kyle has a gazillion variations of these lyrics but that is what he sang on the recording 20 years ago. I know that isn't what that other duo probably sings but you know, go straight to the source.
