Welcome to Whichcraft80, a channel dedicated to all things crafting. This channel is dedicated to my passion for handmade crafts from knitting with circular knitting machines to jewellery making with polymer clay and much more. The intent is to share with all of you this passion and learning together new crafts and new skills.
I did not have a measuring tool but if I was to resize them.i would go by the length of the feet or search for the avarage length of what ever shoe size you want to make them for so let's say a us size 9 is roughly 9.78 inch so round up to 9 or 9.5 then you might want to do a swatch of your choose yarn to see how many rows would make 1 inch but roughly are about 5 rows to 1 inch so the slipper is a long tub folded in half, so it would be 5 rows x9 inch x 2 = 90 rows in total same if you go smaller, that is how I would do it if I had to make different sizes
You are very clever. Nice work . You do such lovely work you really should invest in an antique or vintage or even a new contemporary circular sock knitting machine. While you can do some nice work on this you would do very well with all the projects that can be knit on a csm. The learning curve is steep and they are a little pricey but with your creative gifts you would be making wonderful things on it in no time and share them with the global community that enjoy these refurished beauties. Lots of groups on FB or videos on you tube or even sock tv to give you a taste . Bonne chance . 🥰❤
@@diannefitzmaurice9813 thank you so much ❤️ the idea is there to invest in one of those machines just financially not the right time but if I can get my youtube channel to target and get it monetized then what ever comes out of it can be reinvested 😊 but I really appreciate your comment and encouragement ♥️
The aran is fine - would work great for severely cold climate like ours in mid winter on the Cdn prairie. Well done . Thanks for sharing . I am going to try it on the csm in handspun angora . Just what I was looking for .
This is very good for me. You don't use fancy crochet words, which as I do not crochet either, it's much better training. The only thing on slippers is I thought you said 4 layers on bottom of slipper, are you counting two on either side? They are beautiful slippers. Now to just figure out what colors I want to use. I'm excited to start. Thank you for such great videos
@@beverlydmcdonald5919 yes the layers on each side or part of them will end up at the bottom of your feet once you put them on so they are really soft 😊
How many rows per tube please I'm trying so hard to understand you but if my ears is not deceiving me I think I heard 80 rows for the body 30 for the white piece and 20 for the bow please let me know if I'm correct
Love the effect but this pattern is not right on the Addi machine. You skip 2 and pick up stitch 3. So the pattern must be divided by 3. With 46 stitches it isn,t You will end the row by 2 stitches picked up next to each other or you have to skip 3 stitches at the end, so it never will be correct. When you use 48 stitches then they can be divided by 3 so you need the sentro machine with 48 needles for this pattern. This movie is very confusing for beginners. I would make a new video on the centro machine to explain this beautiful pattern.
@@sietievdw5404 I will 😊, but again this was an experiment and as I explain in the video I saw this patter from another crafter in Italian with little explanations so this was just a fun video to see what would come out, the idea is also to encourage people to try and have fun doesn't have to be perfect all the time and this was not a tutorial as such it was just an experiment done for the first time and I brought you guys along with me. 😊 But I will be working on a proper tutorial for it as I notice myself that the needle count on the 46 doesn't work.
Grazie per aver seguito il mio consiglio di iniziare a fare video in italiano su questa favolosa macchina. Se puoi fai un video dove consigli anche i filati da usare
@@KleintoonseBreiwinkel you are more than welcome 😊 there are more to come but I though it would be useful to have at least the basic ones all in one place 😊
@whichcraft80 So far I have only seen, and tried, methods one and two. My goto has been method two until now. I can't wait to try method three as I love making stripes, which require many colour changes.
@@KleintoonseBreiwinkel I found method three does work better for me specially when I have a ton of colour changes although 2 and 3 have similar results but the third method hasn't failed me yet 😁
I love these! Another great tutorial! You put so much information into your tutorials, no rushing through like others do. You would make a fantastic school teacher! You have a great voice too, not high pitched or shrill. it is very soothing and easy on the ear. Thank you so much Dearie! P. S. I can see if you use black yarn on the center of the bows with a bit of extra stitches the bows could be made to look like a butterfly! very cool! Brilliant!!!
I have no words! thank you so much for your kind words, I'm always afraid to talk too much or the videos being too long, but I feel that anyone at any level of experience should be able to follow along 😊 the black yarn to turn the bow into a butterfly is sparking ideas 💡 😀 but I need to start the back to basics series first or it will never get done 😅 but again I'm extremely grateful for your feedback ♥️
@@whichcraft80 Oh I am just being honest dearie! I will be watching, will be buying my sentro 48 the first week of july. I look forward to learning from you how to use it! I'm so excited!!!
these slippers are adult size, I normally don't do items for children as I don't have measurements or Items to compare them with to see that they can fit, so I don't have a set formula to it, but the way I would work it out is this, I would get the length of the the foot that I need to make the slipper for, so let say is 5 inch long from heal to toe, every inch is roughly 5 rows so I would multiply 5 x 5 =25 rows tube this should give you a comfortable fit, consider the yarn that you are using if it has a lot of stretchiness you can reduce the row count to 20 (so you are taking an inch of the length) . Also in this case I might consider using the 40 needle machine as it might be still too big on the sides using the 48 depending how small is the child you want to make the slipper for. I hope this helps
Well done! I am a crocheter, learning about machine knitting. Though you say you are not a crocheter you are doing well and I appreciate all your effort. Thank you for sharing.
