Your accessories were wired wrong to begin with, with that bus bar connected directly to the negative terminal you were bypassing the shunt, so the charging system would not have been able to see those loads and compensate for them
That’s so awesome! We were pretty impressed with it and use it daily because I, Jez stay up late editing! 😂 Plus if you don’t have a dual battery setup in your car, it’s easy to run your fridge/freezer etc without installing anything! 🙌🏾
@@karencaulfield2749 it depends on the toolbox lid I guess and how wide it is. Obviously you’ll have to take the bikes off to lift up the lid but the racks are super light that you can lift up the lid! 🙌🏾
Hello, thanks for the video, I have built this system, I’ve been experiencing mixed results when the Starlink router is not connected. The main issue is that I have internet access at the non Starlink router, but the Starlink app indicates it’s not connected, preventing me from performing a speed test. Do you recommend turning the "Bypass" setting on in the app for the Starlink router? I’d prefer not to use Bypass, as I want to keep both options available without having to unplug 6 times, which is required to reset the Starlink Router to remove bypass. Or will making this change do nothing? Thank you!
Hey mate, I’ve never used bypass on the Starlink app so wouldn’t know as it would just work. I am still able to do a speed test while using the non Starlink router as it shows online. You just have no option log onto the Starlink Router through the app while using the USB router. You will need to select the router from your wifi list before the Starlink app shows you being online. Have you logged into your router yet? The router should have an IP address that you type into your browsers so you can put passwords and encryption on it etc.
Thanks for tuning in, you are a superstar! 🤙🏽 Sometimes it’s all about being unlucky as we’ve come across people on the Gibb in a Landcruiser who has their rear suspension fall apart and their tailshaft came off or a D-Max chassis bend at the tub! It’s just the luck of the draw! 😬 We weren’t unscathed either with a flat tyre!
@@MelissaCarroll-x5c ahhh, just saw that! I must have just mixed it up accidentally when I filmed it and screen shot it. 🤦🏽♂️ Good spot though, well done! 🤙🏽
Heartfelt thank you. Had fridge in to be fixed. Then when stocking up on the weekend to leave on Sunday arvo, the fridge was showing the 10 error and not shutting properly. The professionals had the door situated too low to latch and the magnet had been lost!! You saved our bacon and our sanity. 🙂
So glad it helped and thank you for tuning in. Yeah we made the mistake of accidentally not putting the magnet 🧲 back in and wondered why the fridge kept alarming that it was open! 😂
With the jack fully lowered and the release valve closed, remove the air vent valve being very careful not to permit dirt or foreign matter to get into the hydraulic system. Use only a good quality HYDRAULIC JACKING OIL (Preferably Grade 32). Fill the reservoir until it is 20mm below the top of the reservoir. Replace air vent valve and be careful not to over tighten O-Ring.
A word of advice is to not use power lifting mode to power sensitive electrical equipment such as aircons. Power lifting mode works by dropping the volts which can damage electrical equipment. It’s fine for drills and toasters.
Good to know! 🤙🏽We used the power lifting mode on the air fryer as it tripped out in normal mode which I think draws more than our aircon. I just tried the aircon without it in power lifting mode and it worked fine though our particular model has a soft start which doesn’t draw as much! 🙌🏾
I have gen 3. I was advised to buy Yaosheng 220watt step up and PoE all in one. I bought it and was only then told that I can’t use the SL router with the Yaosheng device. Apparently I also need a third party router. Anyway I ordered GL iNet A1300. This has the usb-c 5 volt port that the Yaosheng device uses. The point is that I should just have stuck with using my inverter or even buying a separate smaller inverter just for SL. That’s what I get for taking advice from FB. The problem is that there is no wiring diagram with the Yaosheng device and they don’t respond to emails. Do you know anything about how it is connected.
Yeah the 3rd gen Starlink does draw more than the 2nd gen. I’m not 100 percent sure which yaosheng POE you have but here’s a link to a wiring diagram. Hope this helps images.app.goo.gl/4ncGPRMB6z3JbMYu5
You said, one clip per pad per set, but does it matter what side (right or left) of the brake pad that the single clip goes on? Also, do both clips (per set) go on the same side or can one clip go on the right and then other on the left? Thank you!
It’s been a while and depends on which way you’re looking at it but when you pull out the old one, you will know which side the clip will go on so that the pad goes on the exact same way.
@@Terry-cv9rz cheers Terry! We thought it was very responsive unlike our Nissan Patrol head unit! 😂 The camera is even better quality than the Patrol! 😝
I passed thru that same crossing just over a year ago. Such a beautiful drive from there to Kununurra. Look out for the best ice cream shop in town. Its next to Subway. Enjoy your trip. I've enjoyed watching it so far
@@eejnar4575 it’s actually pretty good as we can see what’s at camp proud to getting to camp because the range is so long. I’ll do a reel/short on it and link it to the video.
Hey mate, we just tried the discount code "GRABLIFE" on the website, www.haloview.com/byte-tango-bt7-solar-wireless-1080p-solar-powered-backup-camera-with-touch-monitor-for-rv.html?acc=789 and it worked at the checkout just before you continue to PayPal. Hey guys, enjoying your videos. Just wanted to check with the bluetti you have, on your video you said it’s equivalent to 96Ah, but on the website it says 36Ah. Not sure if I am getting it right. Are you able to clear it up for me. Thanks so much 😊
Hey legend, that is a really good question as it can be quite confusing when looking at the specs! Bluetti have the AC180 battery capacity at 1152Wh (watt hours) which is indeed 36Ah but at 32V which is the equivalent to 96Ah if you convert it to 12V equivalent. Most people understand 12V sizing/capacity. The thing with 12V is that you need thicker cabling which adds more weight. It’s like your household appliances don’t use thick cable to run them even if they draw a lot, like the Air fryer we tested! 😂 I hope that kinda explains it. Another company Safiery do 48V battery systems for caravans, 4WDs, boats, buses etc which are amazing and don’t need thick cabling like the 12V systems which saves heaps of weight!🙌🏾 I was doubtful prior to testing the AC180 with running our caravan and air conditioner but it smashed it! We’re off grid at the moment and ended up plugging the Bluetti into the caravan to charge it up as we didn’t get as much solar ☀️ as we hoped today. 🙌🏾
@@GrabLifeByTheGourlays we are really enjoying your episodes. Felt so bad for you when you had so much trouble but you handled it like a champ. Good on you. 😊
@@kimwilliams2557 hey legend, yeah we made our own Anderson to solar plug cable as we already had the spare parts but you can always pick up one on Amazon for cheap!🤙🏽 amzn.to/3AQXwix
@GrabLifeByTheGourlays Ohh nice...I was going to use 12mm also to keep as much weight down as possible so was hoping the 12mm was strong enough sure looks it...
The weight is spread around on the braces and mounting points so should be fine. So far it’s survived the Oodnadatta Track, The Mereenie Loop and the worst of it all, The Gibb River Road which has the corrugations from hell! 😂
Sorry for late reply but we're in the middle of Karijini National ark at the moment! 🙌🏽 I couldn't find the exact outlet but this one is rated higher at 15amp but still has the cover and is IP44 waterproof. amzn.to/3z7Rbi7
Been watching your videos for a bit, travelling to similar areas to us recently. Was disappointed to see you making fun of Paddy’s disappearance. Although it’s the subject of a recent documentary series, it’s still a real person with friends and family.
@spectrumproductions yeah that was in real poor taste and we apologise for that! Sometimes Jez’s jokes aren’t great at the best of times but he’ll be very mindful next time! The documentary was indeed very interesting and some of the things said were questionable but think it put Larrimah on the map! Jez grew up in Darwin and knew of the town but didn’t think anything of it at the time. Thank you for tuning in, we really appreciate it!!👊🏽
