How does a song this good come from a local band in the 1960s that never made it out of their town. I don't know if it was luck, but they nailed 'songwriting in the 60s'. You can hear the magic a bit better at a faster pace with better sound-recording tech on the Ariel Pink version. It's one of those rare cases in which I attribute a song's brilliance 'naturally' to the writer. Most of the time, almost always, it at least seems that it's the performed who should get the credit, but I've always heard this song the other way around.
@horriblepancake I was replaying on my PC and I heard it on that exact mission, such a timeless feel and song. Forgot about it but been having highs and lows lately, came back to me.
