Ngl i hate the nerfs. She honestly DOESNT need any changes imo. Now before you say im a skyll merchant majn im not. I play her casually but my mains are chucky, spirit, and sadako. The ONLY reason she had such an insane kill rate is bc everyone dcs when they see its skull merchant. Its legit not even hard to beat her. She is only a mid teir killer at best. She just versus bots 90% of the time and bots cant counter her. What needs to change is how survivors act not the killer the killer is fine
Apart from sometimes the haste being brutal to go against (I mainly play solo queue). I thought she was in a decent place. She had counterplay ie ducking/stop moving to avoid drones. If you were close to getting a claw trap you could essentially “tank” the trap to reset your stacks. Not to mention if you’re stronger in chase you could use that as a bait for the skull merchant to chase you across map.
@stunula fucking facts. They only look at the TOTAL STATS and not the high teir stats. The reason why I dislike this is bc the ppl that take the time to learn the game and learn counter play or learn how the game works just get ignored bc some new players decide to cry that like trapper is op (which btw HAS happened on one ptb which is why they were so hesitant to give him more than 1 trap base kit). Personally I'm glad they let chucky be op for so long bc I actually think his changes make him both stronger and harder to play. Before he had an INSANELY low skill floor and the lowest skill ceiling in the game. Now he has a higher skill floor and skill ceiling so he is more balanced and enjoyable to play as and against
Well, it's good to see people agreeing with my thought process, coming from a Skull Merchant and general Survivor main, so I understand why the nerfs were somewhat needed. I had two thoughts in my head for how they could have done this. Either they kept the haste and reduced the scan lines, providing a form of punishment for new players to help understand how to avoid the drones, or keep the scan lines and remove the haste. Everything else in the notes honestly seemed fine otherwise. Just hope that BHVR realizes the real reason why she has a high kill ratio
Gotta learn how to turn do a 360 so get comfortable pressing WASD/WDSA this will get ur character spinning. After face ur character towards you instead of foward and tap A and D on ur keyboard trying to get a consistent rhythm going. Then after you get that down try to hold W while doing it. It might take you sometime but with practice it’ll come. I also recommend watching Crush’s guide on moonwalking it really helped me.
