San angel sorry not good terrible food don’t go there food taste dishwasher liquid salsa ! Small portions tiny and terrible food ! Looks nice but food is terrible and you can’t even see what you eat it’s so dark inside . Total darkness! You need your phones flashlight to see menu!
I just cancelled our two person reservation for next Saturday morning. I’m sure someone else will enjoy it more than we would. I could tell y’all weren’t thrilled with the experience, and I think the rushed and messy service and amount of breakfast, despite how good it looked, didn’t add up to the cost. It’s fine. Thanks for the review!
I love your enthusiasm for this restaurant. This is my favorite and when we stay at Saratoga we are here at least 3 times for dinner, drinks, oysters, apps....Love it!
Im coming back next year with my Granddaughter. I do want to do a character meal but after seeing this i doubt it would be there. I think its way over priced for what it is.
We have been twice for breakfast, the first time everything was A+, our beautiful server was hands-down the best we ever have had on property. My granddaughter was 18 months old at the time and Donald kept making a big fuss over her and kissing her and at the end she kissed him and we were all crying, lol the second time we went the food was delicious, but the service was not on par to what we had on our first visit, not horrible and maybe we had the bar set too high with our first server but the food again was delicious!
if it was still an entree and a half it would be so much more worth it - but the service was terrible for breakfast both times we've visited, and comparing it to other breakfasts on property and Topolino's dinner service, I just don't think it's worth it to fight for the reservation.
We couldn’t eat what we got, so not sure it would be worth more to us. We loved it, but character dining in general is hard to compare to premium experiences like dinner there
We’re headed back down in October (snowbirds). Have you seen a noticeable difference in crowd sizes this year versus last year? Our main park is EPCOT. Thanks!
Really enjoyed your review! We’re going in a couple of weeks and have read a lot of contradicting and confusing information regarding tipping. What was your approach to tipping? Thanks!
Just binge watched this series. What a fantastic trip! I heard Dan say you would compare the 2 islands, so I'm assuming there is a part 4 on the way. Your boys are really funny. I'm sure Aidan got exactly the reaction he was hoping for from Dan with the bead braids. 😂 We have loved so many of our servers, but never remember to request them. My favorite experience though was when we went to dinner the first night of our second cruise and saw one of our servers from the first cruise. My nephew, Parker yelled out his name, Agus, and he yelled back, Parker! He remembered us 2 years later. Is that a good thing? 🤣
I was there a couple of months ago and ordered one of their rarer vintages and a guy (in his sixties maybe) with a name tag of George brought it out. I'm guessing that was the George in Wine Bar George, but was too afraid to ask :-).
@@AddictedtotheMouse Ok, that was him. He came out to explain the "barnyard" notes in the wine, which would be off putting to the more casual wine drinker.
Florida sand sticks like that because its NOTTT SANDDD its crushed globs shells & sand to help with beach erosion. They mix it all together. Welcome to the east coast of Florida nubs.
Ok so I’m not new to Disney Cruise line but I have clearly missed some things. When and where is Lobster night….. and sushi? I missed that as well. lol The waffles look amazing! I will have to get them on the next one. Loved your video!
We love Wine Bar George but have never eaten brunch there. We'll have to try it some time. In regards to seeing George at the restaurant - have you heard about the wine experiences he hosts? We did this back in December and it's one of the better wine tastings we've done (and that includes some in Italy). They are run by George, himself, and he makes it so approachable and interesting. Even if someone didn't know a lot about wine I believe they would enjoy this. He is a fantastic story teller. It was supposed to last 1.5 hours but he just kept on going long after that. Highly recommend and we plan on doing it again on a future trip as he changes the wines each time.
Recently went and they in my opinion have improved the food…Also went at 2:50pm. Had a nice alcoholic beverage as well. Over time, I believe they may have taken note of criticism reviews and changed it up. Yes the price is crazy…It’s a one time experience unless we manage the lounge which is more affordable I hear.
Thank you so much for this video. This is exactly what I was wanting so I could compare the ships. I’ve never been on a cruise, but I am a total Disney freak and know everything about Walt Disney World, a little about Disneyland, and not much at all on the ships, so thank you again
First, we're considering wine bar brunch for the Saturday. We arrive in January. Secondly Leslie, you have to help me out..... Where did you get that awesome Donald shirt??????
I've only been to WBG for dinner (that steak with the chimichurri!!!!), but this sounds good. It was really loud at dinner, but there's not many places in the mid-tier range at Disney that are quiet. Soft interiors are not their thing. LOL!
You guys going to go back and redo this one since it was your first? I'd be interested for you take after having done EVERYTHING else over the last two years.
Our last Brown Derby experience was top notch. Our waiter was great, we left him a cast compliment. I had the grapefruit martini which was unique, and my husband had manhattans which were done well. The wine list was expansive, the food was great. We did the Fantasmic dining package and everything was amazing including the show. Also, I a Tallahassee native heartbroken over our Brown Derby closing when I was a young child. I think it’s closer to a 4/5 personally.
You are second vlog to point to serenity bay kelp which is not swimming area…walk 10 steps and it’s clear. Also walk to family beach is still shorter unless maybe you go to furthest beach area…with photo stops, restrooms, drinks, merchandise stores, seating , planted and shady areas…oh, and you are there. And you can take a tram😂 At lookout you walk, then wait for tram, 10 minute tram…then still walk in full sun to beach. Totally different experience.
He almost looks like Tommy Lee from the Methods of Mayhem days with the bandana and braids. And I only know this because at that time he lived in the area and had a ford excursion with a giant methods of mayhem sticker on it and we’d see him 4 times a week at restaurants and stores. Anyhow… great video now I want to take a Disney cruise I can’t afford and have no one to go with lol
In addition to the quality of the restaurants at Disney, many of the people who go to Disney do not know how to eat, they talk with their mouths full, they shake their cutlery while eating, they pick their teeth, etc. it is really uncomfortable sometimes the lack of manners of many people .
I’m curious how you felt in the stateroom with 4 people? Did the kids sleep well on the couch & upper bunk? Our last cruise we did the family veranda but this time we’re doing the standard size and our kids are growing (and growing!) taller. I’m wondering how well my 5’7” daughter will do on the couch bed.
Ok so I’ve been to Disney every yr since I was born and this past Nov I FINALLY went to go try Morimoto (the indoor restaurant) for the first time, I’ve always heard how amazing it was aaaaaand…I could not disagree more. I was shocked at how bland the food was and the quality did not seem great. The ribs everyone goes crazy over were so tough and chewy and overly sweet. I got a lo mein dish and the noodles were so mushy and flavorless. And I didn’t love my drink either. I couldn’t believe it!!
I don't know how anyone ate with all those flies. Disney must find a way to get rid of them. Other vloggers reported that the flies actually migrated onto the ship and become a problem at the poolside eateries.
@@AddictedtotheMouse If you'll watch the other vlogger's videos, you can see the problem for yourself. The buffet was self serve and the food was covered with flies. People were covering their plates with napkins. I think those videos were from the very first guests to visit Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Perhaps Disney already took steps to mitigate the problem before your cruise. Am I correct to assume you weren't with the very first ship?
@@Lovesapuzzle correct, we were the second and third to stop there. I saw several of the videos and was also on the same ship as other vloggers. They were a problem, but not as much of one as the videos would make you think. We got fresh food from the windows that flies weren’t on, covered our plates, and ate them at the tables by the fly deterrent fans. Flies are gross, but not a huge deal at all.
