Shouldn't this belong in the horror section? 'Cause that was creepy! Next time I'm at a bar, and someone sits next to me, all I'm going to be thinking about is watching for side-tubes!
If this was supposed to convey a message, have symbolic meaning, represent some deeper understanding or was even allegorical; it went over my head, as I got nothing. I see that others are feeling like they must have missed something too. Maybe the point was that clones aren't capable of meaningful connection? What was this and what are we missing? It seems unlikely that someone would invest their time and energy to create something that was void of anything.
Yeah, the comments are falling into three categories: (a) "I have no idea what that was supposed to be," (b) "That was an amazing tour de force depicting man's inhumanity to man, or the impersonality of high tech society, or something deep and profound like that!" or (c) The "B" voters are all liars.
Because the device is sending new memories into his past self its not perfectly resetting the world back to the save point. Hopefully this means each reset the device loses some power to make the change and will one day run out.
Whoever rules the water... will rule the whole world. That's how it is now. We common people just don't know it yet. They already sell us water. Bottled water available in every store. Free water in the tap.
In the chamber, the man met every aspect of himself - including his "herself" and "younger" self that he was reliving in a moment of time, or in different dimensions.
Oh Sci-Fi Shorts. I wish I had a dollar for every time I found myself mostly to completely clueless at the end of watching you... I'd not be wealthy, but at least I could order some pizza or something
Fantastic!!! TBH I did object to the doctor caving to, "This isn't something we can get volunteers for." Of course they could. She would know about a much simpler experiment (Dr. Duncan Macdougall, Haverhill, MA, 1907) where all six patients observed gave their consent beforehand. A real doctor would absolutely have taken her patient back, if only because not doing so would jeopardize her medical license. And on a purely technical level the giant viewing window kind of blows the whole impenetrable chamber concept, but that's an understandable filmmaking concession. In all ways that matter this film is truly wonderful - script, acting, direction, production. Without revealing anything, I especially like the endpoint you chose. Congratulations!
