Just a couple of guys from Bermuda that love to fish. We use lures and other artificial baits which have been changing the game for us. Of course we also use organic bait to target certain species on occasion. Most importantly we enjoy the hobby and want to share our adventures. Subscribe and stay tuned!!
Oh man unlucky with the African but think you need to play them more. Let them run initially before tightening the drag down a bit so you don't put too much pressure on your gear. Macks look thick hope they hang around, tight lines my friend.
I feel you with that pompano bro it's painful, gotta really lock that drag at the beginning of the fight because once they go broadside its almost impossible to control them, hopefully, more come around.
Sweet Action! Remember that Pompano conversation? I landed two yesterday down east (unreal lol). Those frigate mackerel are everywhere, great strip bait.
Just arrived in Bermuda and I ain't having much luck with lures. Been fishing up at Coney island area. Can you suggest some spots that might be better for lures. Thanks
Right now the little tuny and jacks are constantly moving. It's hard to say. Post up somewhere, make sure you have polarized sunglasses and just sight cast when you see something. Anywhere with public access along Northshore would be great. If you see bait around, keep your eyes peeled.
Anything shiny! Honestly the frigate mackerel are everywhere, and the bar jacks are coming back in droves - saw hundreds down by incinerator on North Shore on Sunday.
Excited for the winter season, this summer was horrible for bonefish due to the crowds but it should ramp up this December when I'm out, gotta link up when I'm back
Nice vid my friend, Macks are running!! Been working too much but the fall run should start heating up soon, think the blues are finally here, been missing your vids, tight lines.
@@luremongers8544 I like Kastmasters, great action and casting distance. I'm thinking of soaking some baits at night off the beach. Think some predators will come inshore then.
Nice video bro I love fishing beaches them steal heads and african pompanos and of course barracudas all love those beach conditions and at night gets crazy too well done on all the fish I enjoyed the video bro keep it up.
Those and bar jacks have been shy to bite. When they hit, they crush it though! Didn't realize to the end ofnthat last vid you guys hooked a monster Pompano. They'll be back next summer though.
@@luremongers8544 Yeah had him on the 2500 setup, similar to yours lol 3 inch z man. Took some finesse to get him out of the reefs and onto the flat where he broke off on a small rock🤷♂Sucks because I saw him like 10 ft out infront of me before it cut me off
Year of the Jacks!! Seems last year you were getting more Macks. I would take it right now, small stuff around here, bite's been slow but starting to pick up should be able to get a vid together soon. Tight lines my friend!
Yea it was pissing down. Tomorrow looks like it'll rain nearly all day too :(. Hopefully we can get out and cast somewhere even if we don't make it all the way west in the event it's too wet out. That chubb was a nice surprise lure catch lol
🔥Nice sized cuda, seen a lot of bigger ones recently but they have been finicky to hit, bonefishing been real slow though due to more water activity in the area:(
It was :). Lots of our fish have a local nickname and an official name that international viewers would recognise more. Sometimes you'd hear me use both.
Tried out a 2" squidtrexx for the first time last week in the evening and the white waters were stinging it. Tip for night time - put it up to a light source first, charge up the glow. Well done using the bank - much safer.
May try and find a good spot to use it at night. Ya, that was a pro tip to use that bank! Loving nomad products right now. Bought a madscad and got hit by my biggest bar jack of the year. Thanks for watching and giving solid advice!
What an awesome catch 👏🏽 a beautiful fish and great show of persistence - plus the ‘a few days later..’ I couldn’t help but hear in the SpongeBob show voice 😄 great job again
Hi There! We thank you SO MUCH for your generosity with giving us your catch. We thoroughly enjoyed having it for dinner. Wonderful chatting with you and giving us inspiration for fishing 👊😁
Nice with the squidtrexx i havnt hooked up with mines yet. Altho i have the one 1 size upp from the one u used. And i caught my first Jack last week on my Dock Demon. Was fun. See u around
We normally just use the squidtrex on the boat, but the micro one is decent for catching small grunts to use a livebait. If you find some reef or structure from land though and drop it straight down, you never know.
Solid trigger my friend nice vid. Were on the struggle bus up here, Stripers are scarce and haven't seen a Blue yet and no bait to speak of. Normally there are herring runs in the spring to bring the fish up into the bay but nada. Gonna try South County Monday, down at the mouth of the bay and some ocean side spots to see if its any better. Might go for some Scup just to get a few filets. Got 4 the other day but no camera, doesn't matter tho they're like catching breams, nothing too exciting. Tight lines!
Seems like no 2 years are the same. Hopefully they start biting over that side soon! I'm really hoping we get on that tarpon action too later this year.
@@luremongers8544 Seriously, I'll keep swinging and we are getting a tarpon this year!! Got a 7" Z man with a 10/0 weighted hook to throw into the fray.
Bet that trigger was really good It's definitely my favourite eating fish, once you get the knife started on them they are actually really easy to fillet because the skin doesn't tear. Hopefully we can cast together sometime this summer once we're down in 2 weeks
I'd say a few spoons, a few jerkbaits that would match minnows or other small bait fish, and a few natural color softbaits paired with 1/4oz or 3/8oz jigheads. Good luck when you come! Jacks and barrucudas are chewing!!
Try and bring some divers or plastics such as z man minnow Z's or rapala x wraps, also definitely bring a fluorocarbon leader gonna need it as the water is super clear this time of year
