@@JakeOvgardI bought a 6mm 20" stainless steel rope from Harlem bling. I have the 6mm 22" Miami Cuban from him in stainless steel, but the reason I'm changing to the rope and in a shorter length is because the length is uncomfortable to sleep in and I see that the rope is more noticable. I just don't want something that's heavier than the Miami Cuban.
The same folks clowning smaller chains/pendants are the same ones wearing big silver and moissanite chasing the rapper look. They take theirs to the pawn shop after falling on hard times they'll get .75 cents per gram of silver. I shake my head when I see folks wearing big hollow silver fake diamond jewelry.
@rogersrosa9877 I got a 19 inch neck, I am 260 6 2 20 is a chocker for me, I I have a 18 5mm 28 inch pretty thick chain, so u be tripping with a little pencil neck chain
Dont listen to them man wear what you like if you like shorter chains wear those i wear a 30 inch chain with mexican libertad coin which lays around 33 inches and i dont like anything under 24 thats the smallest ill go cause thats what i like i see alot of people saying 20-22 is best i dont understand why they say that. its a chain on you not them so why do they feel the need to say anything.
I'm trying to decide between a 6 or 6.5mm chain but I need to know the ACTUAL in hand width. Have you ever measured it? I have a DC rope now that's 5.5mm and I want one that's slightly bigger. But I don't want to buy a 6mm rope and it measures 5.5 when I get it in hand.
Diamond cut ropes are usually + or - .5mm. I’d recommend going with the 6.5mm if you want a noticeable difference than your current 5.5mm. My 5.5mm looks the exact same size as my 6mm rope.
I have this same chain. I used to have it in a 22-inch, but tbh the 20-inch is perfect with no pendant. I pair mine with a 4mm 22-inch franco with a pendant, but the 6mm rope is the biggest I will go for a rope because of how flashy it is.
Trust me brother, get you an ultra sonic cleaner. Best way to clean any jewelry but especially for a rope chain. It’s about impossible to get down into the twists of a rope chain when cleaning but the vibrations in the ultra sonic cleaner will have it looking brand new every time! Nice chain bud!
For the standard boss cross, you want a franco chain. You might even want a plain franco vs diamond cut. I just got a favorite memento Mori pendant from proclamation, and the diamond cut francos I have steel the show away from the pendant. If the standard boss cross weighs 7.5g, you might want a 2.5mm franco vs. a 3mm. I have 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4.5 franco chains now, and have a couple pendants in the 7-8 gram range. The pendant doesn't pull the 3mm franco to a nice "V". The franco is pulled down, but still a bit rounded. For a pendant I like the chain to comply with the weight, and my 2.5mm franco (bought used from a Tried Truth member) is perfect for 7-8 grams. Again, consider "plain" over diamond cut to go with the subdued polish on the boss cross.
Chain way to big for pendant that pendant that belongs on a 2.5-3mm chain. I have a 7mm rope and even 2inch 20gram pendants look small on it. Need a real big boy pendant on that rope.
One thing I learned with chain length is that if you can get it over your head you won't ever wear out a clasp. Those little tiny springs in the clasp wear out and break more quickly than I like. Now I go with 24" and haven't had an issue.
I remember when i first try on my first cuban 6months later i end up with a 10mm miami cuban then 3months later got a 15mm which since owning it 2years ago while the pandemic was happening i only worn 5-6x which i highly considering to sell
Well done 1st vid, and I've watched a couple hundred now as I research Jacoje chains. Good insights on length. I would recommend when reviewing gold that you do it facing a window with natural light coming in to highlight the gold. Also, white (shirt or table top) helps the gold "pop". Keep up the good work.
